Make sure that when you order anything in the future that you notify the company posting out your goods to advise the courier not to leave thing at your neighbours as they are not to be trusted.

I'd go to the local paper/council speak to your local MP anything to kick up a fuss.

Recorded delivery is not considered enough proof for delivery by PP/eBay - thats why you lost the dispute - special is the only one guaranteed to be accepted in a dispute where proof is required.
    .

what do you base that on?
what difference is there on the proof of delivery?

    1) The three claims I've had against me and the reason why PP/eBay sided with the seller - PP openly said recorded is not a justifable proof of delivery.
    2) The 5-10 Recorded deliveries into my office every day which still have the tags attached to the recorded delivery labels - showing online as undelivered months afterwards.
    3) The handful of recorded deliveries I get to home every week which are dropped through my post box without a signature (totally different sort location to office post)

Special delivery is a refundable service if it arrives late, therefore tends to be treated more seriously - this is again justified by the fact that special turns up on time 99% of the time and never ever left without signature...

the only point you make that affects PP/eBay is when an RD doesnt track
there is no difference to the retail track of RD or SD
so when PP say that they are talking guff
I could show them a track for SD and RD without the number showing, would they look any different?

The tracking refs distinguish one from the other, I believe?
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

i said without the tracking numbers showing
    it makes no difference
so how can PP say that one track is more reliable than the other?

PP stated that SD was more reliable on the number of confirmed signatures for deliveries - additionally as the SD label is only activated if the destination address is entered on the slip - something that isn't needed for a recorded delivery (PP request both sides of the form when defending a claim against you).

and when have you had to present the SD slip to PP
where on the online site does it show that information?
