You can but hope that they are out for a parcel delivery and you are asked to sign for it!

I was just wondering whether the law regarding opening someone else's mail would be applicable here?
The Postal Services Act 2000 says that it is clear that an offence is created if anyone intentionally delays the post or intentionally opens a mail bag. The Act goes on to say: "A person commits an offence if, intending to act to a person's detriment and without reasonable excuse, he opens a postal packet which he knows or reasonably suspects has been incorrectly delivered to him."

    Hi ....

It might be .... but not really relevant for OP .... the supplier needs to deal with the neighbour (as they are trying to do) - the supplier needs to send new goods to OP or refund.

I was thinking that if their report of theft to the police continued to be unsuccessful, and they really wanted the neighbours punished (who wouldn't!), then perhaps reporting them for the crime of opening a packet addressed to the OP would be a route to try? :)

I believe this only covers royal mail post and not courier services.

I cannot fathom how PF have fulfilled contract - they didn't deliver to the address on the package and they didn't post a card through the correct address.

    So how is that fulfilled?

Then its just a missing item dispute with eBay, you get your money back and its down to seller to sort their compensation out from the courier.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

surely you need a refund from the supplier? You didn't have a contract with PF. Have you gone round and warned all the neighbours yet?
I do see why you would want to take them to court but wonder if it would be worth it as they would be the sort to wriggle out of it in some way.
