Happy New Year Taxi! Just catching up after spending a week or so with family and no internet access!! Sorry to hear about the car crash - hope all the family are recovering well - thank goodness it wasn't any more serious.
Well done on all the MSE achievements - you are doing brilliantly and well deserve your break - Goa sounds wonderful.

I've got the rest of the week off work (took some extra time to get myself sorted ready for the new year of debt busting!) so will be calculating the damage of christmas and revising the budget - hopefully then on track for a DFW 2007. :D

Hi all:hello: hope you are all ok!!
Had to tie a few ends up today...so got on with them;) I've booked our injections for tommorrow morning:D I've booked the MOT for 15 Jan..hopefully it won't want anything doing!!!  and I've cancelled the gold chain(it was a specified item) on my insurance costing £31.52 per year..so my payments have reduced accordingly:cool:
I am going to try my holiday clothes on in a bit and hope they fit...as I don't want to spend any money on new ones...I'm getting tight:rotfl: :rotfl:
Also got to do the banking shortly as it's my little grandsons birthday tommorrow(he'll be 2) and I'm going to his party...so need to get that done today:rolleyes:
Apart from that not a lot happening..so will be back later to let you know if my clothes fit...keep your fingers crossed:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    I'm feeling proud of myself:j :j :j :j I have remembered to pay my tax bill:rotfl: :rotfl: gutted as it's nearly £2000 gone....but it's done:eek:
And guess what:D :D:D:D:D tried my holiday clothes on and they fit...infact a couple of dresses don't feel as tight...so I don't have to buy any clothes...well I need a couple of pairs of black pants for work...so that won't cost much:T :T :T :T
That means the extra money I got in I can use towards debt:j :j :j :j ...I've also got £60 now in £2 coins since last week...I'm saving them ...don't know what for yet:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: but it feels good:o :o:o I feel so positive and it feels great;) ;)
Forgetting the £60...I have £630 spare...so I think I will pay the £400 and odd off the halifax card(will have to wait for payment slip) as the money is in cash in the house:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: this will leave me with approx £166...I need to have my hair cut and coloured(really needed as hasn't been done for months)...and will buy a couple of pairs of pants for work...do you think this is ok?:D :D
As my husband gave me the money to treat myself...I must be learning something here...may have been brainwashed...but I've never had a problem spending money before:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: If you think I shouldn't do that let me know:o :o

Of course you should! If you don't allow some treats then what's the point? And these are within budget. Have fun!

Hi LA:hello: thanks for that!!!...it will give me a confidence boost to pay that money off the halifax as it will bring it down to £2000:D :D:D:D Can't believe what a feeling it is to have those clothes fit as I didn't want to spend money on clothes as I want to lose 6 stone this year:eek:   so wouldn't be wearing the clothes again..lol

Go on...pay that extra £1 and get it below £2000 to £1999....I cannot TELL you what psychological boost it had for me when I got one of my VISA bills (somewhere back in time...can't remember which particular one it was though!) sub a thousand (whether it was one, two or three thousand is neither here nor there... ;) ).

Good luck with the 6 stone too and you'll feel great when you take each load of old, bigger clothes down to the charity shop cos they're falling off you :D

    Hi all:hello:
Well I am feeling really positive today:p :p:p:p I have banked some loose change into my ISA account only £13..but every little helps:D :D:D
    Best of all I've paid £464.50 off my credit card...so the balance now £1999...chuffed with that:T :T :T :T
I've also thanks to Martin's tips ordered 4 free O2 sims which will be very handy as at the moment I'm on a contract but will be coming out of that shortly...so more money saved:D :D:D
I'm so glad I found this site and all you wonderful people...it has made such a difference to my life in such a short space of time:T :T :T
I didn't think I'd achieved much since October but sitting here ...I've realised I've achieved quite a bit;) ;)
When I get back from my hols I will be changing energy suppliers as I'm on that click energy and it's just gone up..not only that but they never answer e-mails..so I don't know where I am with them!!!
my last payment for the gym will be 1st March so that's another £46p/m back in the kitty
I'm going to phone 02 to check when my contract is up(march I think)...I only have a cheap contract but always end up with a bill much larger...so going PAYG ...I'm going to put £10 p/m on and that will have to do...then about 6 months later OH PHONE WILL BE COMING TO END OF CONTRACT SO WILL DO THE SAME WITH HIS:T :T :T
So I feel I've been quite pro-active at the moment!!
