Worth a try - I'm desperate at this point, and sick of lying awake staring at the ceiling all night, and being unable to stay awake during the day (I believe the doctors call it "reversed sleep pattern" or some such.
I never heard of milk with rosemary before, and all the "usual" remedies have failed dismally.
Actually, it sounds really nice, and as I have a huge rosemary bush in the back garden, it'll be easy to do.;)
Do you go back to bed during the day LW? I watched a prog on insomniacs where by they told them not to spend too much time in bed. Go to bed and get up at the same times every day, regardless to how much sleep you get. Over the course of a few weeks it actually helped to prolong the sleep at night. Just a thought.......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

No, I don't; I have to get up when Mr LW does, as I need assistance with bathing and dressing, and he leaves for work at 07:30.Bitsy_Beans wrote: »Do you go back to bed during the day LW? I struggle through the day with a very large, strong coffee before I get out of bed, a large glass of Red Bull when Mr LW has left, and a whole big pot of coffee throughout the day. If I'm really bad, ie falling asleep literally on my feet, I have caffeine tablets.
I gather it's fairly common for Lupies to have this problem. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
Happy birthday to MSE Martin! :j :j
Bitsy - sounds as though there are plenty of options to try. That's why I love this site .
The bobotie was lovely last night. We had the rest of it tonight, so now I've got to think of something tomorrow! I must get back onto the meal planning wagon. I'm not throwing food away, but I like to know what I am going to eat!
Right, I have some ironing to do.
Take care everyone

Bitsy, would your son drink Ovaltine or Horlicks? I think there used to be a chocolate malted drink too, I think it was called Bournvita, maybe that would help?
I know when my two were small they had the"go upstairs and read in bed" routine, so no more ideas there.0 -
Evening All - Late one from me
Uolypool, so glad DD had a great day.
JG - hope everyone is over the Bug soon.
Bitsy - Even if DS has to go to bed with the full light on, and allowed to read, etc., you need to ensure you get some peace in an evening and some adult only time. 7.30pm was our time, you may find that DS drops off, yes he will winge and moan, as he has been in control up to now, so you need to sit and calmly explain to him he is going to bed, and that if he does get up, he will be taken straight back. When you do this you do it without talking to him, just calmly (gritting your teeth) take him back and put him back into bed, no additional nite nites or kisses. Just return him to bed and go straight back down. Turn the TV up too
Think the cocoa is a good idea too.
Had to go and have the boobs squashed this morning, then to Lidl, stocked up with their meat, lean mince, and lamb chops on offer. Finished the curtains this afternoon, and ordered a new sewing machine.:o
((hugs)), spoons, high-5's to all - Take care - DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
