Boycott Woolworths (woolworthlesses ?).
Take a peak at the Grabbit board and you'll see why.
In short, this morning Woolworths had wii packages for sale. Many of us bought into it - providing ccard details in the knowledge that their T&C state that no money will taken until 7 days before despatch.
Emailled saying despatch on the 15th.
Then several hours later another email :
"Dear xxxx,
This email is to let you know that we have now refunded:
From Order Number xxxxxxxx
Please allow up to 3 working days for your account balance to be updated.
Any refund will automatically be actioned against the credit card you used to pay for this order.
Regards,
Woolworths.co.uk
Customer Service Team.
"
I can confirm that the money has indeed been taken from my credit card.
So that means they have taken our money fraudulently ( but know there is chuff all we can do ), and left us without the £180 that we could have bought a wii for on Friday.
BOYCOTT WOOLWORTHS please.

So because you have had a problem then we should all boycott woolies?
What an absurd suggestion.0 -
If everywhere that gets mentioned on this board from one person who's had a problem with a company then everywhere would be boycotted!0
-
Have you contacted your cc company? They are the ones who should sort it out for you.0

Sorry , for a minute I thought I was in the VENT board.
Clearly I was in the "oooh, what a lovely fluffy bunny wabbit" board.
The whole point of MSE is to stand up to organisations that take the pi$$, though it seems some have forgotten that in their rush to use it to gain wealth and discounts.
1. I have ( as have many others ) tried to contact the company, no answers to calls or emails.
2. The way that this comany runs its online operation is appalling, but we blindly give them our cash.
So I say again ( and sorry if this offends anyone's delicate sensibilities ) - BOYCOTT WOOLWORTHS.0 -
Why does everyone have to do it? Why not just you!
Like I said, if everyone boycotts a company mentioned in this forum we'd have nowhere left to shop either in the high street or online!
It's fine for you to vent your own personal experience but others will have had no problem therefore why would they want to boycott it?0 -
It seems people are boycotting Woolies, they've issued a profit warning!0
-
im not boycotting woolies... our big w has a clearance sale on at moment and theres loads of kids clothes in there for one pound a pop... i say rejoice in woolies!! and my son will stay warm thanks to woolies!
I'd much rather boycott nestle.... but that isnt for money saving reasons...Sorry but please keep your signature to 4 lines in length - MSE Forum Team 20 -

There's no need to boycott woolies, they are going down the pan all on their own.
I bought a calender today, it was a on 'buy one get second half price' deal but I only bought one.
Come on, on a bleedin' calender. Just how many calenders a year do people need. Do people give cheap £1.25 calenders as xmas presents. That sort of ridiculous deal shows just how much woolies has lost the plot.
