I bought a calender today, it was a on 'buy one get second half price' deal but I only bought one.
Come on, on a bleedin' calender. Just how many calenders a year do people need. Do people give cheap £1.25 calenders as xmas presents. That sort of ridiculous deal shows just how much woolies has lost the plot.

I need to buy 3 calendars as presents this year and Woolies seem to be the only place that has the ones I want so I have to pay over the odds I for one am glad of the deal they are doing.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

B-ugger, woolies was the last place that we were allowed to shop in ... now we have nowhere to shop because we have been told to boycott just about every bank, boycott justa bout every supermarket, boycott just about very clothes manufacturer ... fortunately we are all free to make up our own minds
I will not be boycotting any of these stores because I accept that sometimes things go wrong, sometimes we ALL make mistakes ... I am an adult and I can handle this sort of very minor inconvenience without throwing my toys out of the pram.

The OP should have pre-ordered one weeks ago as there's slim chance of getting one on release day.
Unless it's you last £180 on your CC then there's nothing about the refund to complain about.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

I think you'll find their 7 days is probably 7 working days which would put it the payment into just about now.
Phone up and complain instead of complaining on here. Say that now you have to wait 3 working days for the money so you can't even buy it elsewhere saying that you may not even get it before xmas now. As technically it's 5 days since 2 days will come into the weekend and it's one of the hottest xmas presents this year. They probably wont be able to do anything but you never know, they might be able to get you it with a promise it'll arrive before xmas like they happened to find them PS2 £2 games a few months back when they kept having and then not having the stock several times due to a misprice/over demand and then ended up supplying most people with it even though they had said they wouldn't be getting it.
I think loads of stores/sites will be oversold on the Wii as I bet most don't even know exactly how much stock they are going to get so will sell how much they think they can get and then end up disappointing a lot of people.
Better business sense would have been to overprice the Wii that way they still get desperate people ordering and they'd still probably sell out at the higher price before xmas once everwhere else was sold out. That would make better profit than to price the same as everywhere else only to be out of stock within a matter of days. It's not like it's something that hasn't got a demand for it, you could stick an extra £50 on it like people on EBay will be doing and still sell out. Much better for a department store to do it than someone on Ebay since you know you will actually get it and it isn't some fake sale.0 -

victory wrote:on the whole woolies as other stores are there to provide you with the xmas dream toy for your kids and make xmas a perfect dream!! Sorry to hear about the WII but no boycott otherwise where would we shop?!! xxx
I'm sorry, vic, but this is just the kind of bullsh!t that these firms rely on. Woolies, as with all stores, is their to make money out of us consumers, not to make 'perfect dreams'.If I've made a grammatical error and you're pointing it out, I'd just like to say :T "Thanks" in advance. and even you, Ivan (you should know better).....
The point of this board is to have a rant!!! And it should be safe to do it here without being criticised for it.
This is from the guide to using this board:
"the vent forum is primarily for venting frustrations and naming and shaming particular companies that you have had poor service from."
Why not try something a bit more supportive.
Orlwaysbroke, I'm impressed by your dignity in not getting involved in an argument with these people. Screw Woolies and their fraudulent behaviour - I've not liked woolies since I was a kid buying 7" vinyl!!If I've made a grammatical error and you're pointing it out, I'd just like to say :T "Thanks" in advance.
