Is anyone else absolutely terrified about the whole idea of ttcing or is it just me who is mad?
Hi ya
not mad at all, lots of reading and talking to people should make it less terrifiying...and think of the result:j Thats what makes the whole thing so specialTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. well despite my best intentions i didn't come back for a while! i have been lurking to keep up i promise!! as i am hoping to start TTC from late July it seems a bit typical really that my pill runs out this month and i have to go back for more!! might try and talk to Doc about it though (don't really have a regular GP just whoever is there) as not sure whether I should just stop taking pill as soon as I am ready to start trying, or finish a pack etc etc. Also how do I know when AF (wow first use of technical jargon) is due, would it be the "normal" time a/c to the pill cycle?
Thanks in advance and hope you all well xDebt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

LegalBlonde ~ TTC is getting close for you! When will you period finish for you to begin? Beginning of July or end?
Aww thanks so muchI know its v exciting, just posted to say typically I am about to run out of pills but need them for 1 more month!! It will be end of July - after the wedding
I am due to finish this pill pack this Friday, then the 7 days, then about another 2 packs or so I think?? I am not really sure if I need to finish the pack or just stop taking them on the day I am ready, and if the latter, how do I know when AF due etc.....hmm.
Hoping to speak to docs but not guaranteed I will get anyone helpful.
Thanks so much for noticing and asking that is so sweet of you. How are things for you? xDebt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

I found it a good read, but then I was clueless to start off with! I found the caffeine levels and the foods I couldn't eat useful.
really useful thanks :jDebt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

I would use up the pill pack so not to mess up the "cycle". Then you can refer to cd 1 as the flow that comes when you stop even though it wont be a true period. Makes dating a bit easier. For AF go by the 28 days per your usual pill period.0

Well I'm not a Doc, and it is best to check with them, but I read in my Tommy's book that if you are on the combined pill you can stop it whenever you like, but if you are on the mini pill (progesterone only) then you should finish the pack.

Hi all
TTC is terrifying and the 1st time you BD without any form of contraception is kinda like going back to your 1st time. It also gives it a whole new purpose rather than just for fun;)
Legal - why don't you stop the pill now and use another form of contraception as it can take upto 3 months for the hormones in the pill to get out your system.
Butterfly - sounds to me like you need to sit him down and ask him whats going on in his head. He's probably liking the idea of a baby but terrified of it at the same time..my DH was... took me months to get him to agree to just go for it! The $0d kept moving the goalposts on me:mad:
Hope all is well with everyone, nothing to report here, AF has been and gone and looks like my cycle has gone from 34 to 31 days:j:j:j1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

I agree. And I think it's good for you to have somewhere to talk about this too.
Thanks BigZippy for your info about Folic Acid also. I think there is a 200mg (or mcg) does in my multivitamins anyway, so that's good
Off to catch up with the rest of the thread. Will also be popping over to the PAD thread later. JUst been paid and received holiday allowance! Whoop! Whoop!
Hoping to book holiday tonight, at long last!

I seem to swing on that one. Most days I'm fine, it's all exciting, and still months away. And others, I think about the reality and practicality of it all and I become scared sh'tless! :rotfl:
But...I do think that it is a good thing that we are scared. We'd be fools not to be. Having a child is a huge responsibility and unknown territory for a lot of us!
And there's a healthy amount of fear (which I think we all have), and an unhealthy amount of fear (which paralyses you and stops you from achieving a dream). I don't think any of us are fearful to that degree. If anyone is, please feel free to discuss your fears here so that we can all help each other to find ways to overcome the fears.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
