Yes i've told him lots. He says he doesn't know if he will change but recons he will as everyone does when they have kids right?! He says he just isn't excited - he will be when they are a bit more grown up but babies no. He is an only child and apart from my sisters has never been round one so is most likely petrified of the unknown!Yea once it's here he will have no choice lol.
Maybe it's time to put your foot down a bit, and ask him to show that he can do it. Otherwise, if he doesn't even know if he will change, how can you be sure?
Also, maybe try to sell it to him on the fact that if he faces this now, he will be WAY more prepared when your own bubba comes along. From a practical mans point of view, wouldn't it be better to be more prepared
How are you doing anyway sweetie? Enjoy those pill free periods?:rotfl:I'M NOT! (but it is kinda nice to see my body working of it's own accord for the first time in about 15 years!)February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I dunno how to prepare him really. He has seen the dirty nappy, the screaming and the smiles lol. I just have to trust him I guess. Yea i'm not too bad. Beeen suffering shedloads with IBS the past week but think it's subsiding a bit more now. Yes the pilll free periods are not good lol. More heavier and painful for sure! But I do enjoy the time in between. I have my sex drive back yay!!! In fact I am in the middle of cycle 12 now. Came off last July but I have been really short cycles - 25/26 days. Pre-pill I was 30/31 days. But yes like you it's good to see it working. Only one more cycle after this period come and then it's ttc time!!!!! Omg omg give myself kittens every time. I am absolutely pretrified!0

I'm going in for some bloods on wednesday, mostly to check I'm rubella immune (I haven't had the MMR because my parents were mental - but I have had measles, mumps AND rubella so I should be immune anyway!) before we start trying. But they'll also check my hormone levels while they're doing it to see how the PCOS is. GP agreed we'd see how things went August-January and if no joy or seriously irregular cycles we'd look at possible medications in the new year, which I'm happy with.
Have purchased some folic acid supplements which I have started today. The info pack I have says studies have found benefits to taking it for a YEAR before conception so the earlier the better ladies!!
I'm loving your positive post! :T:T Well done on all your have done so far, makes me want to get cracking on!
We're planning to start TTC in January - anyone have any thoughts as to when I should start taking folic acid?Oh - and mains supply clean water. You know - the type that doesn't come out the tap with maggots in it. QUOTE]

We're planning to start TTC in January - anyone have any thoughts as to when I should start taking folic acid?
I believe the official advice is to start taking it at least 3 months before pregnancy, so I would say 3 months before starting TTC, which makes it start of September.
But, I believe you could start taking earlier if you wish.
Here is a link to the NHS site: http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/pregnancy/Pages/Folicacid.aspx
Although, it says there to start taking it as soon as you stop using contraception. I don't thinkl that taking it earlier than that will harm you, but please check with your doctor if you are unsure.
Also, a link to a pamphlet about folic acid: http://www.dh.gov.uk/prod_consum_dh/groups/dh_digitalassets/@dh/@en/documents/digitalasset/dh_4081397.pdf
I hope that helps

Sorry, they're lovely really and come with a tonne of free ice cream and chocolate sprinkles!:rotfl:
Nah, in all honesty, they aren't THAT bad. Just not used to them and I've also noticed that they have become better with each cycle. No need to worry!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I suppose it could be worse - when I first had the implant in I bled for three weeks stopped for four days and then started again for two weeks. Went on like that for a few months. :eek:Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0
