OH told me last night that he'd like to be a dad before he turns 31. He turns 31 in March 2012, so I need a BFP by June next year. Where oh where is the 'roll eyes' smiley when you want it???

Wouldn't you need a BFP within the next month? :rotfl:

Men don't really think these things through sometimes. Maybe he'll be satisfied with a BFP before his Birthday? Even then, it may not happen that quickly - but here's hoping it does!

OH doesn't really have a set age/date in mind. But I'd love to get a BFP before my 30th in November next year. Might happen, might not. *shrugs* I also wanted to be a Mum before I was 25, but I didn't meet OH until I was 25 so that didn't really work out! lol

Afternoon all. I'm still firmly in snot-monster land here - ended up being sent home from work yesterday. Going to try getting on the cross trainer when I get home this afternoon. Figure it will either kill me or cure me. OH thinks I'm mad.

Thanks to BigZippy for the FA info - I'll def be stocking up next time I'm back.

Right - I'm going back to my box of tissues now.

    Hi ya
not mad at all, lots of reading and talking to people should make it less terrifiying...and think of the result:j Thats what makes the whole thing so special
It's not that that bothers me really. I know the ins and outs well and was at my sisters birth last year! It's more that it's such a massive change and I'm scared over how it will change our relationship. We have a wonderful marriage '

Rebekah the change in dynamics is a big thing BUT you've got 8months to prepare for it and discuss what you expect of each other, and as your marriage is great then it can withstand the pressures(and tiredness) of having a baby:D
There will always be a point where you think life would be easier if you didn't have to do x and x but you probably have that now anyway:) and having a baby seriously makes you prioritise, I can finally go to bed KNOWING there are pots in the sink, the dusting needs doing(think OCD clean:o) but who cares, I've spent time with Lottie and she doesn't care if I do the pots 1hr later than normal..DH might moan but then he knows where we keep the dishcloths as well:p:D

ETA: I wanted my 1st child by the time I was 27..managed it with 1 month to spare:) next one I want before I'm 29 after that...well I'm working on him ;)

Hi all -TTC is terrifying and the 1st time you BD without any form of contraception is kinda like going back to your 1st time. It also gives it a whole new purpose rather than just for fun;) :D
Omg It so is LOL. We are practicing natural family planning at moment. A- to test it works for a furture contraception (bye bye pill and taking away my sex drive!) and B - If we get pregnant and it doesn't work it doesn't matter.

But oh the first time without condoms. I felt sooo guity! You are taught to always use it I felt like a bad bad girl LOL.

Butterfly - sounds to me like you need to sit him down and ask him whats going on in his head. He's probably liking the idea of a baby but terrified of it at the same time..my DH was... took me months to get him to agree to just go for it! The $0d kept moving the goalposts on me:mad:
Just what hubby did to me for a few years!! No getting out of it this time ;)
