  • Thanks guys, glad to hear I'm not alone in slowly (quickly!) going insane waiting!

Hope everyone has a good weekend, we are moving house so making the most of the Internet before it gets cut off!
  • Evening everyone!

bride2be2012 - hacked off with waiting for financial reasons is something I share with you. Unfortunately we would be significantly worse off (as in £1000 a month after the standard maternity leave!) if I wanted to take any 'normal' sort of maternity leave. If it was £20 I would go for it! good luck with moving!

Lara44 - wow you've really though this through! I can't think of it in terms of 'if this month/if next month' because I think I would become very paranoid about it. I have to work on more of a long term plan...

misscoupon - i haven't seen the cow and gate one I don't think. The pampers one with the 'vaccines' gets me.

Wickedwitch - 'snap!' in lots of ways! I am a stepmother, I am looking at the end of next year (probably/hopefully!) and I also turn to a large glass of wine when I see too many babies/pregnancies (because I might not be having babies, but I can drink goddam it!)

blondy - i don't think buying maternity clothes on sale is silly you will need them!

I am having an ok week, work has been a bit stressful and I have been quite busy so have been keeping the lack-of-baby-blues at bay! I am going to spend the night with my sisters and their babies/pregnancy tonight though, so will definately be hitting the wine i think :rotfl:

:) Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often! :p

I might have to push back the TTC some more....off to look at buying a car tomorrow which would mean borrowing £10k.....

But it will be a good family plus fancy bits car that should last me at least 5 years, planning on being a good MSE girly and clearing it ASAP.

Sort of like the challenge of debt...if that makes sense? :o

Oh and all you ladies have a drink for me! I am on a detox as went overboard last weekend and was very poorly Sunday!

Its actually £13k but I have £3k I don't need to borrow so borrowing £10k.....:o

Its not a new car either, would have been £20k 2 years ago if I had brought it new!

OH is defo getting keener on us starting to TTC.....I think I am getting more fearful. As he already has 2 kids its not going to affect his life as much if you understand me?

The advert is adorable! I haven't seen it before, I must keep missing it if it's on the tv.

Ive had an eventiful baby filled weekend. I didnt end up spening time with a pregnant sister and a sister with a newborn, I ended up spending time babysitting my adorable 11 month old niece with my sister and her newborn, while my pregnant sister had her baby a little earlier than expected! Both my sis and baby are doing well, and it means the 2 cousins are exactly one month apart. It's been so lovely spending time with my niece too, 11 months is a very cute age! So all in all I've had a very fun weekend surrounding myself with babies. It does my 'waiting to TTC' baby craziness ten times worse, but I am so happy for my sisters. Going to sleep and have baby dreams now...

*please ignore all my typing and misspelling! I can't get on with my phone, I promise I am not as illiterate as I probably come accross!

  • Wow MissBolan - I would actually be going crazy surrounded by so many babies. I guess it would be fun though, and good practise.

I have warded off broodiness recently by buying my OH's 5yo a hamster, who then fell ill within a week. Cue lots of nursing and fuss (as well as vets fees and unnecessary 'treats' for her) which has distracted me enough for now! Maybe when the hamster stops keeping my 'waiting to TTC' impatience at bay I can progress to a rabbit, then cat, then dog?!

I have to admit the OH and I have already considered the months we absolutely cannot conceive - Nov-Feb we have all of our family members' birthdays, including his daughter, and of course Christmas. This year has been the first that we haven't been completely ruined money-wise, but we have decided it would be pushing it to introduce yet another winter baby to the family!
