Optimistic-mummy, I apologise for the silly question but does your headache is linked to your over health problems? I send you internet vibes so you get better fast :)

no hun not linked. thanks for get well vibes hun.
AF is over a week late. (this has been a regular occurrence since having the depo over 12 months ago... but i do feel really s*@t... which isn't normal... i'm on the same pill that i fell pregnant with my son on (we knew it was a risk but it didnt bother us as such) but with my son i knew i was pregnant even before i tested... i just felt it if that makes sense. this month i do feel different to all the previous months and i'm not sure if im trying to deny the fact that the pill could of failed again is the reason i don't 'feel pregnant' or weather its just another month with a late period and im just generally feeling rubbish... a family member has said i should test so i know either way.... but i know the test will be negative so i dont see the point... on the flip side im nervous incase its not negative. i feel so confused. if i knew it would be negative why do i keep putting it off.... dont get me wrong id be over the moon,,, it would just be earlier than we planned IYKWIM ..... what shall i do should i wait it out abit longer or bite the bullet and test.... (btw ive been upto 6 weeks late before but although i dont feel 'pregnant' i feel like somethings not quiet right) not sure if its hormones because AF is going to make an apperance... i feel so confused .... any advice welcome !!!!

That's a very difficult question Optimistic_Mummy! I think you'll have to wait for a poster who's already had a child because I really don't know what it feels like.

Having said that, if I were TTC right now and AF was a week late then I would wait longer, just because of one of the posters said a few weeks ago, about "false positive" (or something like that). You know, where you're pregnant but then the embryo doesn't "stick" (for want of a better word!). I would feel devastated :(

What does your husband think? What does he advise you to do? He knows you best :)

£5 more in the baby fund! I LOVE topcashback :D I just booked our Eurotunnel tickets and all of DH's National Express coach tickets' % are all starting to mount up!!!

I wonder how hard it would be to sign up for gas and electricity online... I'm always worried about potential problems...

I will definitely use them to sign up for Virgin BB and phone, so that should be some more money in the kitty :)
  • Hi everyone

Ellie83, congrats on the house! Optimistic-Mummy, I hope you are feeling better soon!

Been a quiet few weeks for us, no luck yet on the job front and so no no closer to paying our debts or buying a house. On the look out for a new rental though as our LL is a PITA! Won't fix anything about the house, and generally driving us insane.

Some good news though is we seem to have moved to 'not trying not preventing'! Taking a realistic view, we aren't going to be able to buy a house anytime soon. And if I stay in my current job, the hours are totally flexible and so would be ideal for fitting around OHs hours and childcare. So we are, for the moment, just going to let nature take it's course and see what happens. OH seems to have finally realised it may take some time to become pregnant, so we don't see the need to wait any longer. Knowing us, I'll prob end up conceiving then getting another job and missing out on maternity pay, ha ha!

    Hello ladies!

Not posted for AGES but have been lurking and keeping up to date as much as poss so congrats to those with new jobs and homes etc and hugs to those who need them......I'm sorry for not being more specific but I would be here for ages and you'd all nod off trying to read my post!

Just came on really to say that I am off to the next thread....eeeeppp!

OH and I were away in Turkey last week and had a fantastic holiday, just the two of us and have now decided it is time to take the plunge and TTC from now onwards :D

Wishing all of you lovely and supportive ladies the very best of luck in the future when your times come to TTC. I will pop in and lurk still so I hope thats ok?!

First baby due October 2013 :j
  • Bride2be and Hopelass - wow! Very exciting times for both of you. I hope that you both keep us updated with your progress (I've occasionally lurked a bit on the other thread but it moves so fast that I can't keep up).

Ellie - well done on the additions to your baby fund. It must feel good to see the total keep rising!

Optimistic-Mummy - I hope that you're feeling better. In your shoes I'd probably do a test just because I can't cope with not knowing things and always feel better prepared to face life if I know what I'm up against! Not everyone is the same though so you just need to work out what is best for you. I hope you do and that everything works out x
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
  • This thread has been a bit quiet of late, hope everyone is doing well, and Happy Friday to you all! :j

We've found a new house to rent, just round the corner from where we are just now, so moving in 3 weeks...can't wait to get some more space, but not looking forward to the MASSIVE hike in rent.

Just heard back this morning I didn't get the last job I went for either :-(. Not sure why, I've asked for feedback as I thought it had gone quite well, but I do know there were another 5 applicants being interviewed as well.

It was my birthday yesterday, and it's made me realise I do need to make some changes as I'm quite frustrated with life at the moment. We're going to look into the LIFT housing scheme (shared equity) to see if we qualify for that. Last time I checked we earned too much but I've taken a big drop in income since then.

I'm also considering going back to uni part time to do a masters course, I just need to speak to my boss at my current job to see if she will sponsor me to help pay for the fees. I've been resisting doing this in case something else came up, but that's just not happening at the moment. And it's not that I don't like my job, I do and my boss is lovely, but it's not great money and it's only part time. But being part time gives me time to study again, and hopefully having a masters will help when it comes to applying for jobs again.

So I'm not quite sure where that leaves us with TTC...DH seemed quite keen on NTNP a few weeks back, but we're moved back to the withdrawal method of contraception. Not had a chance really to discuss why, but he had stopped freaking out when I say I would like a baby before I'm 30 (two years). I know deep down he wants us to buy a house first, but that could be 5+ years down the line if I don't get a better paid job, and I really don't want to wait that long to TTC.

Sorry, I just came on here to say hello and it's turned into a massive long essay! Roll on 5pm and a glass of wine :-)

Sorry if this is too personal but have you used the withdrawal method before? If not you really should get to the bottom of why your DH has changed his mind from NTNP - withdrawal method is not always successful (due to the possibility of sperm in pre-ejaculate) so could be viewed as NTNP anyway ;)
Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP
(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)
  • yes, we were using withdrawl since I came off the pill about 2/3 months ago, and also have used it in the past if I missed a pill...I don't think there's any 'big' issue, I think he just can't make up his mind when we should start trying properly...will get a chance to have a proper chat over the weekend hopefully

Would it be really rude to ask you all ladies how old you are and whether or not your already have children?

im 20 with 1 child of 3 and a half been with DP for 5 years and 6 months ..... our first child wasn't planned but neither of us would change it for the world... we plan to start ttc once our debts are cleared .... we want to give our DS a sibling well i am still able to ... as due to my health may not be able to have anymore children if we leave it too long so decided once the debts are paid we are going to bite the bullet ... people are really quick to judge because we are young BUT the sooner we do it the better while we hopefully still have the chance ..... we don't want to regret it in a few years time if we kept leaving it to only be told my body can't cope and having another child won't be an option............ sorry i've rambled now :o............ hope you are all well hugs to those that need/want one xxxxxxxxxxxx take care all xxxxxxx

i dont know if ive already answered that question now i think of it .....
