  • I'm really trying to figure out my body and my cycles at the moment and I use the fmc app to mark my periods. I have now gotten a bit obsessed at checking at the start of each period whether it has affected it over my wedding and honeymoon next year lol. I would hate AF on the actual day and would love to have a honeymoon baby :j

Any who, yesterday I think I noticed some of that ewcm for the very first time (well I'm sure I've had it before but I think I actually knew what it was). Is this a sign of ovulation? It was the day before the app though I might be ovulating- is that about right?

Sorry I don't want to become one of those people totally bogged down with this sort of stuff (especially before even ttcing) but equally I just want to understand it.
  • It's a sign that your body is approaching ovulation, not that you have already ovulated. The only way to know for sure is by temping and using ov tests.

I'm a bit like you in that I want to understand it and not get too obsessed by every detail. Personally I was interested in the science behind the temperature shift which is why I temp.

Oh, and I had AF on our wedding day :( Although only tail end ;)

  • i know this is going to be a long way away but just incase anyone else was trying to find a way to tell the grandparents to be, ive found a poem that i was going to frame to give them from the baby to keep. i will also get DP to edit it slightly for my nana and grandma (great grandma and nana to be). it will be the second time round for them all but the first time not many people found out through us ... it got round the family too quick by everyone else, so thought the next time round i want to do something special

here is the link incase anyone wants it

Awwwww, optimistic-mummy, it's so sweet! It makes me want to have one so bad!!!!

Sometimes I wonder how I'll give the news to my husband. Maybe a note in his sandwich box: "I told mummy you'd prefer white bread! Love, Baby" :rotfl: Just imagine his face at work :D
