I'm 27 and have no children yet
Really starting to get organised now, hubby's getting stuck into the house to get that sorted, sorting out our finances etc so it finally feels like we're really on the way to sorting the things that need sorting before TTC
Healthy eatings going well, not planning on weighing myself for a couple of weeks ( no matter how tempting it is! ) as I don't want to be discouraged if I haven't lost weight straight away. But we're both eating alot better, I'm cooking healthy meals from scratch every evening, cut out junk food and am going to try to avoid alcohol for a while  which is going to be the hardest thing of all as I do like a bottle of rose over a weekend. I haven't had chocolate in 2 weeks now, not bad considering I'd have a bar virtually every day normally! Feeling far less bloated than I used to so at least I know in that sense it's working.
I was watching that midwife programme the other night ( can't remember what it's called ) and was actually crying watching it, how bad is that?! I think I was uber broody that day so anything baby related just set me off :rotfl:New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

So I'm 29 and I am childless
Me too!Though that 30th Birthday is getting closer and closer. How did that happen? I swear I was 18 yesterday!
I'm also an auntie to 7 kids now (from 13years to 9.5months), so I get to subdue my broody feelings by spending time with them sometimes. Sometimes, of course, I get more broody! :rotfl:
Like when my sister posted a video clip on FB, of her 9.5month old crawling earlier this week. Too cute for words!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I'm 27 (for the next 6 weeks!) and not got any children. I really want to be a mum before I'm 30!
PS - Browneyedbazzi, well done and good luck for your interview!0 -

Yep, 29 and approaching 30 faster than I'd like!
I when I was 18, I honestly thought I'd have an astounding career, a handsome husband, twins and a huge house with magazine-worthy decor by now.
So far I've only managed one of thoseMFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
We're all more or less the same age
I would have loved being a mum before I'm 30 but now I can see this won't happen. No problem, it's the 21st century, we're not old and barren, even at 40! One of my best friends is pregnant with her second and she is 42.
But like many of you, when I was 18, I thought at 30 I'd have a gorgeous husband (check), a house (hopefully soon), a career ( had to sacrifice that for said gorgeous husband's relocation) and that I would travel the world (I did, I went to many exotic places but it was with mum and dad, so that doesn't really count!!!). I actually didn't want children: oh the irony :rotfl:
And now I'm torn. I wonder if I should not wait and see if I can find a job in January and wait a couple more years. It's not that I want to work to earn money to lead a lavish lifestyle, it's just that I love my job so much. If you cut me in half, you'd see "teacher" written all over it! But then again, if I have a baby, I would not want to rush going back to work and would like to take at least a year out. Do you think of things like that too or is it just my anxiety flaring up again?
And kuddos to those of you who are sorting out their finances. Husband and I did that a year ago and it made such a difference! We now have savings (soon to be swallowed by the aforementioned house purchase) and we even manage to save enough over the summer to be able to pay various insurances upfrontEverything is budgeted now. I feel much mor relax knowing that we can live on my husband's wages alone (although it will be tight).
As for TTC, I think that's the only thing I won't want to plan. We'll just "go with the flow". At least at the start. I don't even understand how the ovulation cycle works, so I'm not likely to get obsessed with ovulation charts, etc. At least at the beginning, ask me after a year of trying and I may be saying the opposite
I have also booked an appointment with my mother's nutritionist in France (as they are real doctors there, who specialises in nutrition) and I will ask her all the questions I can think of regarding my diet, etc. Hehe, I might even arrive with my list of things to ask. But she is brilliant, she has worked wonders with my mum
That's another long post! I always talk a lot, sorry!0 -

Haha. I thought I'd have 3 kids by now, be a SAHM, with Orlando Bloom as my husband. I had really high hopes! :rotfl:
So far, I've managed none of those! But, life hasn't been so bad. I've travelled. I've got a career. I studied more. I matured considerably. Heck I've even lived in another country and learnt a new language.

Ditto the above . I was so sure I'd be married and have a family by 30.
My mum had me at 17!
But if I'm lucky enough to fall pregnant and get through with a healthy pregnancy I am sure that I will be a better mum now than I would ve been at say 17 and also calmer , more patient.
Ive also travelled and enjoyed life so far so won't mind settling in for cosy nights in rather than out and giving up on a few luxuries for any new arrival
I'm the oldest by the looks of on here... Seeing nurse next week to discuss TTC - hope she is nice to older ladies ...DEBT FREE - MARCH 2012 - NOW JUST THE MORTGAGE!

You are right. it's not all doom and gloom. I have a good career (even if I spent 7 years at university to get it), I have the handsome husband, I have a house (bit of a do-er up-er is an understatement!)... I'm sure I can wait a bit longer for twins.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Would it be really rude to ask you all ladies how old you are and whether or not your already have children?
I'm just worried I'm getting to old as I have no one to compare with!
So I'm 29 and I am childless
I'm 24 and childless but OH is 39 and has a daughter from a previous relationship. I know that him getting older is not as dangerous to TTC as me getting older but I would rather our first baby together was sooner rather than later! Not least because I don't want him to look like a grandad lol.0
