theres many books out there!
Thanks so much Sammy! I am sure the vegetarian society will have some articles/books suggestions. I may also go and see a health professional when we TTC, to be sure that I'm doing things properly. I'm so glad I found this thread where I can just talk about my fears and ask any questions and share experiences with other women. My husband is a really nice guy, but I don't think he can really relate to some of my fears. I think, what it boils down to is that I am afraid of losing control of my body0 -
After some research I will probably start folic acid about 6 months before so I get into the hang of taking it! It doesn't do any harm to take it. Plus if you do accidentally get pregnant then at least you're covered.
As long as you're healthy then I bet it's fine to be veggie. I bet your midwife will advise you anyway. Reminds me I need to start eating healthier, try to get to a healthy weight before trying. I had a friend who put on about 6 stone during her pregnancy!!
I feel less scared about TTC already cos I've given myself 12 months to plan lol. Might try and squeeze a wedding into that timescale as well! Just need a proposal first hehe!0 -
Went to Asda today and got my free folic acid, they also gave me a little sample bag with a book about pregnancy and a teeny weeny nappy in.
Not recommended, the teeny weeny nappy has made me broody and want to TTC again right now!!
Must remember how much I want this new job, must remember how much I want this new job.....0 -
Hi Ladies and welcome to any new WTTCers that have joined since I last posted :wave:
Not much to report here really BUT getting very close to TTC time for us - 4 weeks :D!!!
Been taking Pregnacare Conception but don't always remember so going to make an effort to sort that over the next 4 weeks.
I hope all is well with those ladies who are having job worries. I am quite lucky in that I have been in my job for 2 1/2 years now and will have a fantastic maternity package and my colleagues I know will be very supportive particularly if something went wrong (massive fingers crossed that it won't).
Getting very broody now and our friends announced that they are expecting their second (no.1 is 11 months old now) in March/April so that it great news and I know I can ask her for advice as she is really chilled out unlike me
Bless OH he is getting all excited too now. He has sold his desktop computer and bought a laptop so he can dismantle the desk and make room in the study for a little one!
Okies, off to watch X factor now - OH claims he hates it but always ends up glued to it to the end :rotfl:
Hope you all have a great second half to the weekend xxFirst baby due October 2013 :j0 -
lol, my OH is the same with Xfactor! He's away this weekend, so I get to watch it in peace tonight.

Lol I know it's such a cringe fest! That bloke with the 4 year old boy was really sweet though
I had a dream last night that i gave birth to a little girl and we called her Lauren! No weirdness to the dream like giving birth in space etc. just a normal sensible dream. Never thought of the name Lauren consciously though! Told OH this morning and he said "Oh that's quite nice" (He likes Sophie but I'm put off because I was bullied by a Sophie in primary school). Will be stuffed if I get pg with a boy cos not even dicussed boy's names!
Hope everyone has a good Sunday - just food shopping for us here. Exciting!

I have dreams about having a baby too, except that I always forget it somewhere, forget to feed it or whateverAnd in the end, my mum has to take care of it on a daily basis because I forget to do basic things. I don't even want to know what that could mean
If we have a boy, we'll find it hard too because we only have one baby boy name in mind, but plenty of girl namesAnd they also have to be spelt more or less the same in English and French, given that I'm French. All this pre-TTC-ing is really exhausting :rotfl:

I'm the opposite! Loads of boys names and only 2 girls names, although I'm kind of going off one
but if anyone needs any boy names I guess I'm useful!
Bought my folic acid yesterday, had to get in online as my village only has a co-op which didn't have anything and I didn't want to do a trip out souly for them! But I got enough to see my through till we hopefully move on to TTC0 -
ive got a 1 girls name and 1 boys name (these are the 2 both me and DP like)
girl - Talia Mae
boy -Jayden Alexander
i also like
Hayden Bailey for a boy
Pheobe - Grace for a girl200 weeks £25,000.00 / £7000 -
Those are lovely names!
At the moment April Paige and Nicholas Mason are the top of our lists. But this could easily change! Especially if the girl is born in April, or the boy in December
But my on my own little list I have Jack, Hunter, Cameron, Austin, Philip, Elijah, Isaac and Cole. Cameron and Austin have graduated to my girls list too. So I now have 4 names, along with April and Paige. Progress!0
