Having a bad day today. I just don't wanna be in this country anymore. I wanna be back in the UK. I wanna leave this job, and start afresh somewhere else.
Nothing in particular has set me off, just had enough.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Have a virtual hug, euro. I know it won't help, but still - the thought is there!

Thanks hun! The thought counts more than you realise.
The other thing getting to me is the lack of communication from friends.....again. We're back to it only happening if I initiate it.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I'm feeling a bit like that at the moment. I haven't heard a peep from my friend since we visited her and her baby until this afternoon when she sent me a picture message... of a scan picture... from her sister!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

Oh great! Just what you wanna see! Some people are either really selfish, or completely blinkered!
One of my mate's OH's was in contact a few months back about organising a surprise 30th party for her. He was gonna get back to me with more details. Never heard from him, I chased him up and no response, so now I'm wondering if she found out and doesn't want me there or something. As she is the least responsive of all. Either way, I no longer have enough notice to save up the money for the flight. Great!
The other is at least responding now. I think, in her case, she is just a bit busy with her own problems right now.
How's the TTC going? Managing to stay relaxed? easier said than done I know!
Oh, and how did you get on with giving up soda?February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I'd hope that's not the case - if it is, you're better off without. As she is the least responsive of all. Either way, I no longer have enough notice to save up the money for the flight. Great! Without wanting to sound completely heartless, would you have wanted to go if she's not been the greatest friend lately?

TTC - completely relaxed. It'll happen when it happens. I've not used a single pregnancy test as I don't see the point in testing early. The way I see it testing early will either upset me because I'm seeing a negative test or I'll get an early positive and worry it's a chemical. So I'm charting and if my chart stays high, I'll test then. I don't post too much on the TTC thread as I don't really have much to add on there.
Sodas - I haven't given up completely yet, Down to around one a week. today's been good though. Two decaf teas and a litre of water.
I can't give up squash though....Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Hello All
I've been lurking for a while but I'd like to join please.
We are getting married in October so are waiting until we are married and have enjoyed our honeymoon (which is in February) before we actively try for a baby.
However in preparation I have been trying to get a better idea of my cycles, when I ovulate etc, so that when we are ready to try we know exactly when to DTD etc.
I've starting taking my temperature etc and am taking supplements in preparation and whilst I don't want to be pregnant before I've enjoyed our honeymoon as it may well be the last big holiday for a while I am keen to start TTC.
We have decided we will get rid of all contraception in January and take it from there.
I'm 35 and have been lurking on the TTC thread and am starting to get a bit worried about the amount of time some people have been trying but I guess we won't know how long we'll need until we TTC - if only we had a crystal ball eh!??Got married October 2012 :jHoping to conceive 20130 -

No, you're right. I don't want to be spending money I don't really have on someone who's not really bothered with me.
Glad that you are staying relaxed. It's the best way I think. And you're really good for not testing early! There's something quite exciting about testing that I think I will find hard to resist! So well done you!
Hey, cutting down is progress! I seem to endlessly drink water and pee all day now! lol
Squash...yeah it's harder. I still have the occasional one in the evenings because I just can't resist a nice, sweet drink every now and then.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

See it's funny really - I don't see testing as exciting. I see it as potentially demoralsing. What will be will beDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Hi,
I posted last year or so that I was probably going to start trying in 2014. Things have changed since then and I don't know what to do...
In February, I got made redundant from my job and I had 2 job applications for some really good companies. My OH and I decided that if I didn't get either job then we could start trying.
I managed to get the first job which starts next month and it is a 3 year apprenticeship and at the end I will get a foundation degree. I can also choose to do an extra 2 years and get a batchelors degree. The extra 2 years can be done at any time, so I could stop going to college for a couple of years and then go back to it if I want.
I was sort of hoping that I didn't get either job as I really want to start trying but it will be really good for my CV so I tried hard in the interview.
Once I have a baby, I had always decided to give up work. I am financially able to and I really want to be a full time mum until both kids are in primary school.
My options are:
1) Get pregnant during the 3 year apprenticeship, I have no idea what will happen to the apprenticeship as I can't really carry it on if I'm pregnant/have a baby.
2) Finish the 3 year apprenticeship and be a full time mum and don't get the batchelors..
3) Finish the 3 year apprenticeship, go back part time and then do the extra 2 years later.
4) Do all 5 years first and then get pregnant.
Each have their benefit but I don't want to wait much longer.0
