    Hello Memoryoftrees! And welcome!

Thanks again to Skintchick for directing you here! :)

Still waiting to TTC myself. No set date at the moment as we will be moving back to the UK soon, so things are all a bit up in the air there. So, for us, it's: As soon as things are more settled. lol

Sooo broody though! I just have to keep myself occupied with my various neices and nephews! lol

  • Hello fellow-WTTCers!

I am waiting to try next August (hopefully.) The reason for waiting is financial - need to save up as much money as possible, and also need to get to grips with my cycles and so on.

I will be 33 when I TTC and hopefully 34 when the baby is born, assuming it's successful. If my first attempt is successful I'll be 33 still - but only just!

    How about everyone else? x

I'm 29, and would happily start trying now, but will more likely be starting when I'm 30 (in November). OH is 32, soon to be 33 (this month). Waiting for living and financial situation to be more settled before starting.

It is possible you will 'catch' first time, but please keep in mind that on average, 80% of couples will catch in the first year, so it will most likely take you anything from 0 - 12 months. No way to tell for sure.

I came off the pill due to migraines over a year ago, and had a non hormonal IUD fitted instead, so cycles have had a chance to regulate. Eating healthier, and exercising more. :)

Ah I guess I could jon myself! This is my story:

I'm 37, I have on daughter aged 3. I had one miscarriage before her, and since we have had had another four losses. I am now under St Mary's Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic being investigated and tested for blood clotting dosorders. I am also waiting to have a fibroid removed that they think has been the main cause of my losses.

So I am waiting to TTC until I have the op, receive all my test results, and have enough cycles to regenerate the womb lining sufficiently.

I hope this will only be a few months and that I can TTC by December. OH and I usually conceive first cycle so I'm hopeful I can be PG by New Year or at least before my birthday in late Jan!

This is very true. Hardly anyone falls PG on their first cycle to be honest. You spend so many years trying NOT to get PG it is a bit of a shock to realise you have to work at getting PG!

Also, not to bring anyone down, but a pregnancy doesn't always equal a baby, so I think counting your chickens before they are hatched is dangerous.

Just because you want to be PG within 2 cycles and for that pregnancy to result in a live baby, it is better to accept it could be up to a year before you have a baby, just to avoid the crashing disappointment if it takes longer to get PG or if you have losses.

Sorry to be miserable but it is good to be realistic. Don't make plans about babies being born in x month, just make plans about TTC.

    Welcome memoryoftrees!

In response to your question earlier I'm 30 (31 in Nov) and OH is 33 (34 in Oct) and we will be TTC #1 from end Sept this year! I would love to fall pg straight away but am perfectly happy if it takes a little while however I am a very impatient person so might start getting stroppy if it takes longer than 6 months! :o I guess we will just have to see how it goes......exciting though :D
First baby due October 2013 :j
  • Been absent from here for a while but have continued to read to see how everyones getting on. In all honesty I'm feeling really down about the whole TTC at the moment, it just feels like it's never going to be the right time for us, with the main drawback being my job really. It's extremely stressful, I work long hours and I know that the stress will not help when it comes to TTC. My boss knows I need more help, but when that happens... well I'm not holding my breath, and I want the work situation sorted before TTC as I don't want to be under this much stress if I'm pregnant, I don't want to risk the baby's health. It's not helped by the fact that 2 more work colleagues have announced they're expecting, and another colleague is now TTC for her second baby. I'm getting asked more and more when we're going to start trying and I'm getting a little fed up with it all!!

It just seems like there's always a reason we cant :(

Sorry to be such a misery
