    Hi browneyedbazzi,
I found it hard to pick the moment too. I picked my moment when we were having a bath. We have our best chats in the bath. No distractions just the 2 of you. I just said I have been thinking about ...... and how do you feel about it. Best to talk about feelings.

I've just collected a repeat prescription of the pill, and my my partner asked me what I'd done that day I told him I'd been to the Dr's to collect my prescription, and that it was good because it was the last time I'd see the nurse ;)

    He agreed!!
I am employed as a manager in a financial services institution. My views are entirely my own.

Wow that's exciting! I've got two months of my current prescription left and expect I'll have to go back at least one more time :o

    Hiya,
When I was on cerazette my drive wad pretty low, since coming off DH doesn't know what hit him! Used to be once/fortnight, now more like 2-3 times a week! I was so worried before coming off pill that we'd never dtd enough to get pg, but it eeally wasn't an issue. I don't think i'll go back to hormonal contraception after this baby, will stick with condoms and tracking ov.

Thanks LittleMoog! Good to know it's not just me! Think i'll make an appointment tomorrow and get it changed. Just wish I could come off it all together but it's not time yet

Browneyedbazzi, it can be really hard to a) find the right moment and b) pluck up the courage to say what you really think. DH and I are very open about everything. I found it quite easy talking about TTC but that was because I knew he had been wanting to start TTC for a while. What I found really hard was finding the right moment after the mc to say I wanted to wait a while (at least 18 months) - I knew he had been so excited and please that I was pg (as was I) but I was terrified about our finances and I felt so bad to (potentially) disappoint him. In the end I bit the bullet and it turned out he was happy to put it off a little while. He is probably thinking about it too!

  • Thank you Walby, it's good to know I'm not on my own. I think I'm going to try really hard to have the conversation this weekend. We have a day out planned for Sunday where it'll be just us so should present some opportunities to raise the subject. (I don't think there will be a chance before that because we have a lot going on and not much time that'll be just us)

My main worry is sounding like a harpie because I have this irrational fear that things won't work the way they should and I think the only thing that'll convince me that it will be ok is to have a bfp. I'm generally quite a rational person so this whole issue seems to be the chink in my armour lol.

In all fairness to my 2 they sleep through the night and are well behaved (well as much as 2 under 3's can be). I have always wanted 3 so just mega excited! DD has been asking if she can have another baby brother or a baby sister next time bless her lol

I notice a couple of you said that you are/were on Cerezette and just wanting to ask about side effects. I've been on it for a year or so now and my libido has all but dissappeared! Has anyone else experienced this? I'm considering changing to the combined pill but as I suffer from migraines the doctor has advised against it. I don't like the idea of the implant, coil etc so im not sure what to do really. Any advise is greatly appreciated!!

    Jovie x

hi Jovie, just noticed this post from the other day! I'm in exactly the same position, on cerazette (libido gone) and i'm on it due to migraines. I really don't know what to do. The thought of the coil makes me a bit squeamish (daren't even think about childbirth :rotfl:) I think i'll speak to my doctor next time i go in. I think the coil is probably the way i will go...? I can't rely just on condoms because i'm on other medication that i can't get pregnant on at the moment so there's got to be something else....

let me know what you decide!! x
