    I've been Money Tipped!
Back on topic...having been sent home from work today I'm now watching a show on sky about childbirth (like an american and not as good version of one born every minute). As much as I'd like to have a baby, I'm really not keen on the actual birth bit....when I say 'not keen' I think what I mean is bl00dy terrified!

I'm not sure if watching programmes like this one is good because it may desensitise me a bit or bad because any negative experience just hides in the back of my brain to resurface as a nightmare at a later date.

Either way, it's a bit like a car crash and I can't look away!

My partner laughs at me when I watch one born every minute because I sit on the sofa with my legs crossed and a pained expression on my face.

Excellent news about a night off work :)

    Hi everyone,

Hope you're all well. Haven't been on for a while as my new job is keeping me pretty busy!

We've started looking at houses and are currently looking for a mortgage broker so that we know what our budget is and can start seriously thinking about where we want to live and looking at areas for schools etc.

We've decided that we definitely want to buy a family home before TTC but are reconsidering whether a wedding or baby should come first! (This may be partly due to One Born Every Minute making us both broody and my uncle having a new baby with his girlfriend!!:p)

I notice a couple of you said that you are/were on Cerezette and just wanting to ask about side effects. I've been on it for a year or so now and my libido has all but dissappeared! Has anyone else experienced this? I'm considering changing to the combined pill but as I suffer from migraines the doctor has advised against it. I don't like the idea of the implant, coil etc so im not sure what to do really. Any advise is greatly appreciated!!

Ah yes, I remember! I loved the fact that they then became free :D

I think I still have the keyring I earned somewhere, as well as the little gold key (though these might have changed since I was there). :)

    It's such a good feeling.

I'm thinking about doing the C25k (couch to 5k) challenge. Has anyone else tried it? I'm a bit nervous/shy of running in public on my own! lol

I did the C25k challenge. Thought it was brilliant. Got to week 7... and then stopped. I had to go away with work so got out of the routine but I intend to get back into it. I dont find running easy but the programme is really good and the music quite motivational. The lady speaks so encouragingly as well! Give it a go. Run like noone is looking! Good luck!

    Hiya,
When I was on cerazette my drive wad pretty low, since coming off DH doesn't know what hit him! Used to be once/fortnight, now more like 2-3 times a week! I was so worried before coming off pill that we'd never dtd enough to get pg, but it eeally wasn't an issue. I don't think i'll go back to hormonal contraception after this baby, will stick with condoms and tracking ov.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Good morning all.

Once again the weekend has flown by much to quickly. I really wanted to have a talk with my partner about when he'd like to TTC this weekend but didn't really find an opportunity to broach the subject because there was quite a lot going on. We both definitely want kids and have had that talk, but it's always been a 'one day' sort of thing and I feel like I need to know when that day will be.

He's male (obviously lol) and a couple of years younger than me so I'm guessing he doesn't feel the same sort of pressure as I do about timing. I'll be 33 soon and I can't help but think about how people say after 35 it gets harder to conceive and the risks of all sorts of problems start to go way up. If it takes up to a year for cycles to return to normal after stopping hormonal contraceptive then the window is closing!

So how do I talk about this with my partner without sounding like a hormonal, irrational woman? (I'm aware that I may indeed be being irrational so it may be really difficult to sound like anything else!)
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
