Gosh this thread has had alot of posts since I last checked! Things have just been so manic for me lately, work is extremely busy and I'm trying to study for an exam I have next week, I just don't feel like I have any down time at the moment. Got our holiday in a few weeks so thats keeping me going at least. So yeah you could say I'm another desperate for the weekend to be here too! Especially when I'm faced with working until god knows what time tomorrow night.. oh joy!
Told OH about this thread and all the things I've been looking up about what to do prior to trying to conceive etc but he's not as enthusiastic about it all as I am which I have to admit is a little disheartening. I don't know if it's just because he's under alot of stress at work too, and maybe he thinks do we even need to discuss this so far in advance, but I like to be organised and get as much information as possible so I know I'm doing everything "right" so to speak.
Anyways too tired to really contribute anything worthwhile! So off for an early night and hopefully will have time to have a proper read through everything at the weekend.New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

No, you are not alone. We're almost there!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j
I haven't had much energy, but admittedly that is due to a lack of sleep in the first half of the week. Looking forward to a looooooong lie in tomorrow!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

My OH was very similar to begin with. He didn't think it was necessary, and was putting extra stress on me/us. But....I've found that as I've trickled little pieces of information to him, he's started to appreciate the value in it. We won't be going into it with no knowledge, and we'll have less of those 'is this normal' moments (I hope). Plus, and most importantly, our bodies will be in better shape for it.
I hope you have a restful weekend!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
*unlurking again*
Chocoholic_chick, my DH wasn't very enthusiastic about anything until about a month before we started TTC, when he suddenly realised he was ready for babies now, as opposed to babies "someday". I think it takes men a while to click with the whole process, but once we agreed to start TTC he was just as invested as I was, although still not keen on knowing about my cervical mucus! :rotfl: He walked into the bathroom when I was stretching some EWCM, looked revolted and made a hasty exit :rotfl::eek:
edit: he was also a bit worried about budgets etc, so I did a full plan for what we'd need to buy, and how much nursery etc will cost us to show that we can afford it. If I'd realised that was what was worrying him we might ahve started TTC a few months earlier!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Definitely desperate for the weekend - I'm off to Venice tomorrow! :jDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Also, my DH wasn't very enthusiatic until I got my first AF after we started to TTC. I think that's what made him realise that he doesn't have super sperm and that all the research I've been doing might actually help! He also appreciated me having the boards to turn to when I was frustrated as it meant I wasn't moaning at him...!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

Yeah, I do think a lot of guys just assume that one go is all it will take!

Ta. I'm still not technically at goal yet - I'd ideally like to lose another half a stone. WW allow you to set your goal weight as the highest weight for the healthy weight range. I'm a poind under that, so I set it as goal because I know I'm likely to gain on holiday and they still count you as being at goal if you're 5lb over your goal weight.
Now WW meetings are free for me :money:Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Ah yes, I remember! I loved the fact that they then became free
I think I still have the keyring I earned somewhere, as well as the little gold key (though these might have changed since I was there).
It's such a good feeling.
I'm thinking about doing the C25k (couch to 5k) challenge. Has anyone else tried it? I'm a bit nervous/shy of running in public on my own! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I think most men believe they have super sperm, I still remember the look of sheer disbelief on OHs face when he found out it had taken his sister and BIL 2.5 years of trying for baby number 2!
Not much has changed with us really, I'm back working part time and OH has had his hours reduced at work, so are no further forward with debt clearing/house deposit savings.
But we're getting married 5 weeks tomorrow, so looking forward to that rather than worrying about the impact the finances are having on out TTC plans!0
