Those who are waiting to TTC

Hi everyone
I am still WTTC, just a lurker on here most of the time.
Good news from us is that OH's major op is finally scheduled for the end of the month. Once that is out of the way (fingers crossed it works) then no real reason why we can't TTC. We are getting married in August but I wouldn't mind being 2/3 month pg by then. and even that would be unlikely for the pill to be out of my system etc.0 -
Congrats on your upcoming wedding findingmyownway :j Hope all goes very well with your OH's op.
Knit a frog kit sounds awesome Euro, as does your MIL!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding findingmyownway!
Glad you have a date for the op too, and can look forward to getting it done and moving past it. Hope it goes super smoothly.
It sounds awesome.....not sure it'll look awesome by the time I'm finished with it! haha. Despite the differences OH and MIL have had, she is lovely, and trying super hard to mend bridges with him.
I also found a lovely, and cheap, sewing/yarn/knitting shop whilst in Eastbourne. http://owlandsewingcat.com/about_owl_and_sewing_cat.php So friendly, and lots of choice. I saw they also do sewing and knitting workshops!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Thanks everyone!
I'd love to learn to knit or sew! I am quite an outdoorsy sporty person at the moment and keep thinking I need to find some quiet, indoor hobbies for when i'm pg or at home with babies! OH will be off work for a few months after his transplant so maybe I should start testing out calmer hobbies then!0 -
If you search on Youtube, there are a lot of 'how-to' videos. I also bought this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Knitters-Bible-Complete-Handbook/dp/0715317997/ref=sr_1_17?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1331565518&sr=1-17 It was recommended to me by a number of MSE knitters (there's a thread about knitting in the old style forum). I've found it really useful, and easy to understand. I then went on to make myself a lovely blue scarf for winter. It was only in basic knit stitch, but it was good practice and I've had a lot of compliments on it.
Other indoorsy stuff I like are: model kits, puzzles and I want to get into sewing too. I just don't have enough time for them all! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Hi all not been on for a few days. Thanks everyone for the welcomes
I think we are thinking of TTC June/ July or possibly next year. I would love a baby but I am so worried I wont cope with 2 LOs. Hopefully little man will be in preschool/ nursery by then so at least I can have some time to myself/ new baby.
We have kept everything we purchased/ were given/ etc from him being born until now so we pretty much have everything. I would love to get our home situation sorted, maybe a slightly bigger house!!
DS took a year to conceive, part of me is worried that a 2nd child will take ages to conceive but I think if I got pregnant straight away I would be in shock!
I'm currently learning to knit too, its going 'ok'! Its just hard finding the time between work and DS!Trying to save for a deposit

Time is always the key with these things! I didn't get much of it done last night, but I did make a start
How are you confused? All good I hope.
I feel horrid today. Upset tummy, and nausea. But, I am not going to take a sick day at the moment, so I have come to work to spread the love! It's not too bad, so I am hoping it will pass quickly.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Ooohh Zumba! Is it fun? I've never tried it. Got a friend here trying to convince me to take a pole dancing course! lol
It's better than it was this morning, but still not great. Am super tired though, so probably just need a good night's sleep.
