Morning everyone, hope you're all doing ok? I started the pregnacare pre conception vits with folic acid a couple of weeks ago, which bizarrely I found exciting as I felt like I was doing something pro active in prep. I'm another one who is surrounded by babies and pregnant people, a close family member has just announced they're pregnant, they've been together a lot less time than me and OH, but hey Ho my time will hopefully come v soon Xx0

hi ladies
I was here until xmas then switched over to the trying to conceive thread. Just wanted to pop back really. Its amazing how you can spend 10 or 15 years trying not to get pregnant and believing that just once unprotected and you'll immediately be knocked up .... And then you are slapped back down to reality when it just doesn't happen straight away. We specifically delayed trying until Jan 2012 because of money and timing with work etc, but I just wanted to say that I think now that it could easily be months and months and months until I get pregnant (sorry to be negative) so if you're putting it off maybe don't be as strict about it as I was. I really really really wish we had started trying earlier now
we have had sex every day this month (sometimes twice) and nadda ....0 -
Morning All!
A big welcome to our newbies! And well done on losing 1st already Anderson08! That's really great! Losing weight can be so difficult at times.
COMP - How are you getting on atm?
Moneypuddle - sorry to hear that this month wasn't your month. But i'm sure it will happen for you soon, probably on the month you least expect it (for whatever reason). That's what I've often seen on the TTC thread. Good luck, I hope next month is it for you!
I started to feel a bit sore in the throat/trachea area last night, and coughing. Woke up this morning and it's worse. Feels like the start of a cold. Joy!
Oh well, I'm going off to try and bake some bread! Wish me luck! lol

Euro, did you have general anaesthetic for the op? Could it be irritation from that? Either way, drink plenty if hydrating fluids and look after yourself
how's the wrist?

Nope. They just numbed my arm completely, which also meant I lost full use of it for about 15 hours! Led to a comical moment once home, and OH was helping me change, I didn't quite grab the numb arm quickly enough and it went flying off to the side with me ' chasing' it with my other arm and going round in a circle! :rotfl:
So no, there were no tubes in the throat etc. Today I am blocked up too, so def a cold! Am drinking plenty of fluids and taking remedies though.
Wrist is doing VERY well! Still uncomfortable/painful to do certain things, but am functioning normally again now, just a little cautious of things.
Honestly, toothache from an infection I had late last year, was far worse pain wise than recovery from this op has been! I have been pleasantly surprised!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Evening all,
Just wanted to ask you lovely people about having the implant taken out. Am going to call the family planning clinic on Tuesday to book an appointment :T. I am so excited but also really nervous as putting it in wasn't very nice lol.
I'm assuming getting 'back to normal' cycles depends on the person but just wanted to check. I don't want to get told by the doctor that it'll take as long as it takes and then get upset.
I'm also taking glucosamine sulphate and vitamin B tablets at the moment. The glucosamine as I have Coeliacs Disease and it's supposed to help with my bones and vitamin B for my energy. When I got pregnant with DS I was drained for the first 3 months as I wasn't eating particularly well. Would like to get my body fully prepared this time.
Thanks in advance xxTOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -

I can't help with an answer to this one, but I am interested in the answer myself as I also have the implant... I'm having it out either next month or the month after and I've kinda 'budgeted' three months for my cycle to come back. If it happens sooner than that that's also ok (obviously!)
Euro - I'm fine thanks although been having arguments with an old friend over the weekend which I'm still angry about. Long story!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Hi clearing_out_my_pockets. Hopefully I should be able to get an appointment Tuesday evening and find out. Desperate to get on with it now:p. Hope you're having a better day today!TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000

Hi ladies,
Glad you have a more definate response from your DH Euro, gives you something to work towards.
Well, I feel a bit in limbo land at the moment. For those who don't know, DH and I got married in May last year. The original plan was to wait until our one year anniversary and then discuss it (the only reason for waiting was financial but we both really wanted children asap). Anyway in Oct/Nov last year I looked at finances in more detail and felt that we could afford to start TTC so long as we were prepared to stay in our flat for the first year of baby's life (which we were).
So we started TTC. We got half-way through our second cycle of TTC (my cycles are 7 weeks long!) and DH gets called into the office to say he is being made redundant (out of the blue, no warning, in retalation for DH asking for his rights which his boss has all but admitted since). I said we should put off TTC, which DH agreed to.
A couple of weeks later DH said he wants to continue trying as he still has work (he had a temporary job lined up the day after being told he was being made redundant) whch is set to last at least till end of Feb, plus he has been doing some private work of his own plus he will get redundancy pay out (which is equivilant to two months wages). He said that we have nothing to worry about financially and I can see exactly what he means and so have been continuing but I keep thinking we should wait. I don't know if I have cold feet or what!
