Those who are waiting to TTC

Well I tested yesterday.... Negative. BUT! It is extremely early.
Felt pretty sick today, and from previous experience with angel babies DD and DS I felt sick a couple of days after conception and knew immediately. Persuading myself to not test again until next week at the earliest...
Think I saw some implantation bleeding yesterday, but it looked too red... Sorry if TMI! :P0 -
Hi all,
Hope you all had a nice xmas and new year. TTC date is getting closer and even better the debts are being hit hard, my CC is under £1k, but it's the mortgage that we have to get down and the savings up, otherwise we will never survive on statutory mat pay.
Our TTC date is now Feb/March 2012, I started taking folic acid boxing day and we have been practice BDing :rotfl::rotfl:

Morning ladies
Euro, hope your op went well and you're recuperating ok.
CD2 for me, no birthday baby after all. Not feeling too bad about it as it was a long shot. We still haven't decided if we're TTC now, or waiting a few more months though, which is confusing. I compiled a list of baby equipment with prices and did our budget to show DH we can afford it and that waiting 3 months won't make a difference! He's not totally convinced yet, but he said he would have been over the moon if I'd got pg last month, so I think I'll manage to convince him before ov this month. I've ordered a BBT to start charting anywayLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

forgot to say this morning, my skin is much better this month, so thanks for all the help and advice! I bought some oil balancing cleansing wipes which I've used every evening, and then put a light moisturiser on. In the morning/after a shower I use my simple day cream. Less red patches, although my forehead is still dry, and only 1 spot, which didn't show up until the day before AF, unlike last month when I was covered in them from about 3 days before AF until CD6 :eek:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Hi ladies
Has anyone here been through the process of a vasectomy reversal with their partner? If so, I'm interested to hear how you found the experience, particularly how your partner coped.
My partner and I obviously arent TTC, since he's had a vasectomy but a reversal is on the cards. He's very relaxed about the whole thing, whereas I tend to be more of a planner. I'm 29 and ideally I'd like to have kids in my early 30's so I think the sooner we get the reversal done, the better.0 -

I have a friend who wants this doing for her dh, but they can't afford to pay privately and the nhs won't pay for it -i *think* because he's already got 2 kids (previous marriage, the one he had the vasectomy in) whereas she (my friend) doesn't have any and really wants them. I think she appealed to the Primary Care Trust and they said no too. I'm only telling you this because I'm wondering how/who would do the procedure for you, and whether it might be a longer road to go down before you even manage to start ttc? I would have thought if you're both positive that you want it doing then sooner rather than later would be best, to give the swimmers the best chance of rallying.I would also assume that it's not 100% effective every time and therefore ttc (and any subsequent process/treatment) would potentially take longer too...?:o
I don't mean to be gloomy, just trying to be realistic. I've hate for you to wait too long to ttc, then be waiting even longer during ttc -cos that's how I'd view it if it was me

Thanks bigzippy.
I dont actually live in the UK. I'm not sure whether its covered by the public health system in my country but in any event, I made sure my partners private health insurance will cover it. Worst case scenario, we could cover the cost, so happily thats not an issue.
But everything else you said about timeline is what I am currently mulling over. From everything I have read, the minimum period of time from the date of the operation to TTC would be about 6 months - and thats assuming all goes very very well. So, being realistic, its going to be longer than that0 -
Euro still waiting to hear how you are.........?
I 'follow' Euro on twitter and am friends with her on FB. I wouldn't normall speak for someone else on the thread, but as a couple of people are asking...
Op went well, she's off work until Monday and she's being well looked after by OH.
Euro - hope you don't mind me sharing this xDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0
