It's small and straightforward, so it shouldn't be bad as such. More worried about pain during recovery, and making sure I don't use my hand/wrist - tis easier said than done as I do so much stuff without even thinking about it!
Euronorris - this has reminded me? Is it you who has a ganglian or "goolie" as it is affectionately called by my family. I have had one for months, maybe 6 months and I woke up 2 days after xmas and it had disappeared!! There is hope yet!0 -
Hi All. Can I join you? DH and I have decided to start TTC number 2 from November, when DS turns 2. Actually, DH would quite happily start now, but I kind of feel a bit disloyal to DS to start when he's still just a baba - does that sound really stupid?
I also want to lose best part of 3 stone before we start, so that's my mission for the next few months.
When is it best to start taking folic acid? Is 10 months in advance jumping the gun a bit? Though I suppose it can't do any harm. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Yes, it is a ganglion.
Ooohh, glad yours disappeared! I heard they can sometimes do that.
Unfortunately not for me. Had for years, and had it drained 2/3 times (I forget now), and it just keeps coming back. Boo hiss.
AF also showed up yesterday. Bl00dy perfect timing! Grrrrr  Ik heb buik pijn! (I have stomach pain!)
Edit: Just realised that I had no sore boobies at all this month! First time that's happened since I came off the pill!
Thanks BZ! I'm quite nervous now. Have to call between 2 and 4 today to get the time of op tomorrow.
Welcome to all our newbies!
Oh, and my eldest neice started her periods yesterday! Bless her! We're 100's of miles apart, and I still managed to be in sync with her! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Welcome to the thread. We don't turn anyone away here!
There's two years and four months between me (older sibling) and my brother and apparently there were no issues of jealousy.
I think official advice is to start on folic acid three months prior, but as you say there's no harm in taking it earlier I don't think. That way if you do decide to move it forward, you're still prepared.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Afternoon ladies
Hope you all had lovely Christmases. I'm waiting for AF, after our early babymaking attempt over Christmas. If she shows (due tomorrow) we've decided we should probably go back to our original timetable of March/April. Fingers crossed she doesn't, I don't want to wait anymore.
I'm madly symptom spotting atm, and convincing myself that I am/am not pg alternately every 10 minutes or so
We had all our friends over for new year, and the boys were having a blokey chat over cigars, which mostly consisted of speculating over who's going to start having babies soon. We've got 2 weddings in April and May, and one likely engagement at some point soon. Apparently speculation is rife that us or the couple getting married in April will be "babied up" by next New Years :rotfl: not sure how DH kept his mouth shut (as he claims) he's rubbish at keeping secrets normally.
Anyway, I may soon be back, and I'm still lurking anyway
Euro, good luck for tomorrow, hope the op goes well, I'll be thinking of you.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Thanks ladies.
11.15am tomorrow. At least I don't have to be hungry for too long! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I'm coming out of lurkdom to move the TTC date back to Oct 2012 - DD1s 4th bday. DD2 turns 2 in July. As OH announced that although he wants another baby he would like the girls to be 5/3 ideally.
DD1 started pre school this week - and it has been lovely having time alone with DD2 something that has never happened before. So if we conceive later DD1 will be in school, DD2 pre school so I'll have some time solely with the baby as well.
Makes sense to OH but I am broody as hell, watch this space:rotfl:OPs so far £42,139
Original end date Nov 2037 (53) Current end date June 2024 (40) Aiming for 5 years to be Mf
DD1 Oct 2008:), DD2 Jul 2010:), DD3 Aug 2013:)
When life is getting me down I try to remember to thank God for the blessings0 -

That's exactly how my OH feels, our DD2 is two in July and he will not contemplate before then, although would prefer to start when DD1 turns four in Oct. There's only 20 months between DD1 and DD2 and he says he would prefer a bigger gap next time.OPs so far £42,139
