  • I'm really not in the mood for work at the moment and trying not to get too distracted by buying things!

Had my two best friends over at the weekend - one's pregnant but it isn't common knowledge yet so she got there about half hour earlier than the other one just so she could get the baby talk out of the way!

    Hi ladies :hello:
nothing to report here. my delightful crop of spots is a little better, apart from one MASSIVE one right in the center of my chin, which is bright red and shiny

Last night DH and I were talking about Christmas (which we currently alternate between my family and his mum's house), and DH said "when we have a baby..." he's never said that before, and he normally rolls his eyes when I say it :rotfl: I was so chuffed :D

    It's in their DNA?

I don't know. Everything OK? Want to talk about it? Rant about it? Generally get it off your chest?

Everything's fine. This conversation was had in our household last night:

DH: How did fat club go?
    Me: 1.5lb off
    DH: Well done. Happy?
    Me: Yeah - I thought I'd gained.
DH: Good - I'm glad you're happy. I always want you to be happy. I can't wait until Sunday to say this..... Will you have the implant out in January please?
    Me: What? Seriously?
DH: There's nothing I want more. If you can give me three reasons to wait until March, we'll wait.

So I did the sensible thing and gave him the three reasons to wait:

1 - We go to Venice in April and (if we're exceptionally lucky and get a BFP quite quickly) I wouldn't want to be pregnant on a week long trip to Venice.

2 - I've only been taking folic acid for three weeks.

3 - He's changed his mind so many times, I'm not sure he wouldn't change it back again :o

Doing the right thing sucks. I might, however, have the implant out and try natural family planning for a while.

  • Ooooh exciting COMP. I'd deffo have it out and try 'other methods' for a while. Make the most of it while he is in an agreeable mood!

News from me - i'm getting married! While not directly related to TTC, it is another step in that direction :-)
  • Yay!!!!! Weddings are great. I'd get married every year if I could afford it! (To the same guy, obviously!)

Oh God, they are so confusing! And the annoying thing is, he probably thinks he was doing a really nice thing there, which he was. But, as he's changed his mind so much before, you can't be sure he won't again and you have to protect yourself from that.

Doing the right thing can really suck, but it's always better in the long run. ((HUGS))

Congratulations Findingmyownway! Have you set a date yet? VERY exciting! :D

    Morning all :)

Congratulations findingmyownway, I love a wedding, great news! Like COMP I'd love to do my wedding all over again, I loved the whole process of organising it etc. Hope it all goes smoothly for you and you have an amazing day, have you set a date yet?

COMP, I'd like to kick your DH up the bum until he comes to a decision. If I were you I'd have the implant out anyway, since he's suggested it, and it will give you a chance to get to know your cycles ready for TTC in April? Don't know much about the implant, but it took 2 months for my cycles to properly return after stopping the progesterone only pill, and the GP did say it could take up to a year

My sort of TTC news, CD16 here, and think i'm spotting potential OV signs - last 2 cycles I think I OV'd around CD19-21, based on EWCM and AF arrived CD31 and 30. Hoping these earlier signs mean that this cycle will be shorter again. Also (TMI alert) doing well on trying to get our BD frequency up - when I was on the pill I had v low sex drive and it's gradually returning. In preparation for TTC I'm trying to make sure we BD every 2-3 days to get DH used to the idea :rotfl: He's not always that keen on a night, he's really a morning person, but not a weekday morning person, more about 11am-ish. Not that useful from a TTC perspective :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Congratulations findingmyownway, that's excellent news .
I've been lurking for a while (nothing to report, just bored of saving!).
Talking about men changing their mind... My husband is suddenly reconsidering our 'house before baby' decision and I have to be the sensible one and remind him the reasons why we are waiting to TTC :p
:grinheart It's Mrs Coupon now - saving and comping my way to a brighter future :grinheart
