Hi everyone, hope you're all v good?
Just wondered if any of you had bought any "waiting TTC" style books and if so would you recomend them?0 -
I got a free book from the Tommy's charity website, called preparing for a healthy pregnancy. Quite a good overview, I got DH to read it tooLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

COMP - good luck with OH... Mine just asked me how long I have to have my mirena (which the consultant has only just put it) out before we can TTC... And I pointed out that as he still couldn't commit to moving in together it was a bit premature to ask how soon they can take it out
anyway, I told him if he wants to know more he can come to the hospital with me for my next appointment... So it's in his diary...

Hello ladies,
I'm back! Well my stay on the TTC was short-lived - DH was made redundant and so with things so up in the air income-wise we think it would be a bad idea to carry on TTC. He currently has work but it isn't permenant. I am trying to think positively and think that if he stays with the guy he is now working for he will be earning the same amount of money but we will get a lump sum to put towards out debts. But we will have to wait and see how everything pans out!
Congrats findingmyownway (love the name, btw!)
COMP I see your DH is still indecisive. I can understand where he is coming from (I swung from being desperate to start TTC and then to thinking that we should wait at least another year when we said we would start TTC!) but for you it must be very confusing and hard to deal with. I hope he makes up his mind v.soon!

Ooh lovely tip, thankyou, I will have a look at that. Great that DH read it too
I'm finding it a bit weird that it will very soon be 2012, which is the year we're getting married - 4 months and then we can ttc. OMG, just seems weird that both of those wonderful things may finally happen!!!
I hope you all have a happy and healthy Christmas0 -
I second the recommendation for the free book from Tommys.
Came off the pill on 27th October and still waiting for first period to come!! Feels like I've been waiting so long! Thanks for sharing all your skin advice, I feel more spotty since coming off the pill, my skin is usually dry-normal.
Hoping to enjoy a bit of BD over Christmas break, its been stressful at work and we've had the usual round of winter colds so its been a bit limited recently. Need to give things a kick-start!
Also decided to shed a few pounds in 2012 to help conception. Did weightwatchers before our wedding and lost nearly 2stone but i think nearly half of that has crept back on again so I'm going to try again and try and get husband on it too. It will give us something to focus on too while we wait for things to happen.
Have a lovely Christmas everyone xfran-o0 -
Hi all,
Lot's of good news on the thread!
Aunt flo has rocked up this week - so no BD for us over xmas!
On the plus side, I have bought my first tub of folic acid tablets, getting ready for TTC next year. Could do with losing a few pounds and getting a bit fitter in the new year. I was inspired to get off my booty by some of your signatures showing how much you have lost.
Just got to find my own motivation!2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Merry Christmas guys!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

OMG ladies, DH and I may have skipped the waiting to TTC, as decided on Monday early morning to try and make a birthday baby for me! Very spontaneous, as DH commented how much better my skin is looking, and I said it was cos I'm near middle of my cycle and about to OV, so expecting to be worse again in about 2 weeks, and then later he said "what's the best bday present you could imagine" and suggested we should try to make a baby!!!! not sure what the plan is with TTC if we weren't successful though, whether we're back to waiting until March/April, or if it's full steam aheadLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
