Those who are waiting to TTC

Hi everyone,
Congratulations findingmyownway, great news!
I foolishly got my hopes up a little at Xmas but alas I got chocolates and shower gel, no ring! I dropped a huge hint a couple of days ago though..."You know that couple I used to work with that we bumped into on the bus? They got engaged this Christmas. And someone I used to go to school with got engaged too.... I didn't!" Think he might have actually got the message this time :j
In other news, i've finally managed to get a new job. It is slightly more money, but only a 3month contract with high possibility of being made permanent. So we're going to have to be really careful for the next few months until I know what is happening. Fingers crossed I'll get taken on permanently, and then we can save even more towards house, wedding and babies!
LittleMoog thanks for the tip about the Tommys book, have ordered mine. Although I fear it might make me even more impatient to start TTC!

hello ladies :-)
im another one that went from normal skin, never suffered any spots etc.. to having lots & lots at varying stages in my cycle. was on pill at 13 for heavy af's, but have been off it for 3 yrs roughly now (am 31), i know how upsetting it is, so here is what worked for me.
when my skin flared up, i paniced and bought so many diff things to try get rid of the spots... clean & clear, clinique 3 step (vile stuff) , anto spot face washes & even tried OCM (which made it even worse!)
so i went back to my trusted olay complete care moisturiser & garnier soft & gentle cleanser/toner... few weeks later, skin is cleared & settled, and has stayed like that apart from the odd spot.
I find the more you try dry them out, the worse they get, well they did with me anyway! I also went back to drinking at least 1.5 litres of water per day.
Eau roma water toner spray by Lush was lovely too, but pricey for just rose & lavender water, so im currently trying to source my own waters & mix them up!
the things we ladies go through eh! Mother Nature can be very cruel! Please be nice to all moneysavers!
Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth."
Big big thanks to Niddy, sorely missed from these boards..best cybersupport ever!!0 -

Well I'm just popping in again to say that we're still no closer to TTC, in fact probably further away. Went on 21st Dec to perineal clinic where they reopened my episiotomy scar and found it infected, however I then fainted so they didn't stitch it up
Supposed to be going again next Wednesday but it's now so sore and oozy (sorry) that I've rung them today and made them see me tomorrow (clinic is only Wednesdays). Fingers crossed this time something gets done about it! Already taking folic acid and am trying to lose some weight so hopefully will be in a healthy position to start trying soon.

A (belated) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone on the thread from me too.
I also second the sentiment that 2012 brings us all close to our goals, and I wish a stable 2012 to you all (seeing as 2011 was a bit of a rollercoaster - for me at least).
Sorry for being so quiet, but OH and I were enjoying a week of downtime, and no drama from the family or anyone else for that matter. It was bliss!
Operation on Friday. Little nervous now!

Thank you! It's small and straightforward, so it shouldn't be bad as such. More worried about pain during recovery, and making sure I don't use my hand/wrist - tis easier said than done as I do so much stuff without even thinking about it!

Well.. We might have had the choice of waiting to TTC taken away, due to a considerably sized festive season mishap with the pill...:eek::eek::eek:
(We have no money! Argh!)0
