had a nasty shock last night, got home from gym to find police waiting as we'd been burgled :( we were lucky though, they broke in through the back window, grabbed DH's xbox (and one of my bags for life to carry it in!) and went upstairs. The alarm scared them off, they dropped the Xbox while climbing out the spare room window (inside, so no damage) and a neighbour caught one and he dobbed his little friend in (who was on an electronic tag curfew)

The worst bit was that they turned on all the gas taps in an attempt to hide their tracks , so house reeked of gas.

Stayed with a friend last night, after about 2 hours of hanging about doing statements etc. SOCO are here now, but we should be able to start cleaning up soon

Anyway, my fingers have swollen up, another sign AF is on her way I think. :j (or a side effect from all the salt in the pizza hut takeaway we grabbed on the way to our friends last night :o)

You poor thing! I'm glad your neighbour caught one!

A guy I'm friends with on FB recently posted that his house had been burgled and that the lad who did it left his mobile on the kitchen worktop so the police were able to trace him because it was registered to his home address! :rotfl:

So sorry to hear that LittleMoog! It sucks. My sister's flat was burgled in April last year, and they broke a window, the shower and the bath just getting into the place, and stole a lot of stuff including some sentimental stuff and the camera with all the holiday pics :(. They didn't leave any gas taps on though! That's truly awful!

So glad they didn't do much damage and have been caught. I hope you're doing OK, that can really shake you up ((HUGS)).

Just handed out the cake and treats at work. Cake was a roaring success and disappeared in minutes! :D:D Been told I need to make a bigger one next time! :rotfl:

    Evening ladies :)
Started to spot this evening, so think cd1 will be tomorrow! Pleased as last cycle wad 50 days, but I'm only on cd31 today, so looks like cycles are settling down.
Spent the afternoon yesterday with sister and nephew (13 months) which cheered me up as still feeling a bit shaky from the break in. Lovely babycuddles make everything better though :D

As I thought it's CD1 today :j and lookign at my diary it's 12 days since I noticed EWCM, so that would be a decent LP :) Hope next cycle is the same so I can start OV spotting for when we start trying.

Not feeling too clever though, I'm still not really used to these natural cycles. I was horrendous to DH last night, and I've put on 5lb in the last 4 days  which must be water retention as I haven't been that naughty! My fingers are really puffed up, I never got this on the pill, even when I was on a combined pill so actually got periods.

  • I am indeed on holiday, but lurking a bit. I'm umming and ahhing about our 'date'. I found out last week that my best friend is a little bit pregnant (but she told me to shhhh when she told me as she'd only just done the test). I think I'm still going to have the implant out next month - I get the impression she'd quite like me to be going through it at the same time.... The funny thing is she keeps texting me and asking for advice - I'VE NEVER BEEN PREGNANT!!!

Oh and I didn't get the job I applied for. Which I'm actually gutted about. Hence I'm lurking - PMA is rock bottom....

Sorry to hear that COMP :( It just means that they are missing out, and you are meant to have a better job with a better company. ((HUGS))

My period, despite all the pain, was the shortest one yet! I think I was dehyrdated on Friday though, and wonder if that played it's part. Woke with a migraine on Saturday, but managed to keep it under control, drank loads of water and then felt much better for yesterday :D

The worst thing is that at the very end of the second interview, they said "we'll get back to your recruitment agent tomorrow at the latest so that she can ring you before the weekend. That'll give you the weekend to think it over" which led both me and the agent to think there would be an offer. Nope. I was actually being interviewed for two positions - my current position and the more senior version of my job. Apparently I'm not experienced enough to even do the job I've had for the last three and a half years. So it's difficult to believe I will get a better job. DH has told me to stop job hunting, stay put and have a baby. I suppose he's right in a way - where I am if they want to make me redundant I have a lot of years service behind me...

Migraines are horrible, aren't they??? Middle of the year I was getting one every couple of weeks but now I've adopted more healthy eating habits (as well as keeping hydrated) they only seem to rear their head when AF arrives. This 'month' she visited for a week, but my last cycle was only 21 days

Glad it cleared up in time for your birthday.......

Sorry to hear you didn't get the job COMP :(
I'm endeavouring to stick to my planned meals for the day, despite feeling like hibernating with a slab of dairy milk, I WILL NOT go to the shop for crisps! I ended up having a bit of a comfort binge on Friday after the break-in, and ate a double portion of the macaroni cheese we were having for tea, even though I wasn't that hungry, and I wanted to save it for lunch on Saturday :o stupid brain, I need to break the binge = comfort link :(

    Hi All,
I don't know if any of you remember me, but I was on this board for quite a while, we were waiting until our Honeymoon to New Zealand before TTC.
Well, I went a bit quiet because I discovered in the middle of September that I was pregnant (oops!) and yesterday had the 12 week scan and discovered we have twins in there!
I don't want to upset anyone, but I wanted you to know because you have been the friendliest bunch on here and I'm still a bit too shell shocked to tell people in my "real" life!
Good luck to everyone on here, I've just had a quick flick through the last few pages, there's lots going on, isn't there!
Littlemoog-sorry about the break in, it must have been horrible for you
COMP-onwards & upwards, it wasn't meant to be & it means you can stick to you baby plans!
    xx
