Fair enough ;) I've only been in my role for 3 years in February, so wouldn't expect to be promoted just yet, but at some point next year would be good. Will find out how I'm progressing at my end of year PDP in December.

  • On a separate issue, my nephew is the sweetest thing in the world! He saw a children in need charity appeal on TV and said he wanted to give his pocket money to charity. So my brother suggested he go a step further and do a sponsored event. So the weekend after next, he's doing a sponsored walk - for 5 miles! To put things into perspective, my nephew is (only just) six...

    Hi Ladies,

Sorry your having a bad AF COMP.

Still no AF here, which means CD41. Getting impatient as we can't get on with baby making till that comes and also, I would just like to know when to expect it!

On a positive - got a one-off bonus to the tune of £3350 as a "reward" for becoming a teacher in a "shortage subject" and managing to do it for a year and not have run off into the hills screaming :rotfl:. So both CC have been paid off and both overdrafts meaning just loans are left! :j

Great news on the bonus Walby! :) I had one this month, but it was only €1000, or rather €535 after tax. Still, it's better than a kick in the teeth, and definitely better than nothing! Plus, I put it towards the cost of a new laptop, together with some money from OH for my B'day and Christmas. So now I have a nice new laptop and can do webcam calls etc again.

Well done for clearing the overdraft and CC's!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D Brilliant news!! Look how much you have brought your debt free date foward by!!! That's fantastic!

CD32 here. No cramps or spotting, but it has been feeling quite 'tight' in my lower stomach for the last few hours, so I'm wondering if it will come on some time today. Probably will, seeing as I have Qi Kwan Do tonight and my outfit is entirely white!!! I'll be skipping that then!

Still no AF and no spotting. Test this morning was negative, so I can rule that out for now. Body has decided to deviate from it's usual pattern for some reason.

    How is everyone?

not bad ta :) joined the gym a few weeks ago and been working really hard at diet and exercise. Now starting to see the weight come off, and my size 18 jeans are getting loose :j (this is me at aerobics ;) ) I'm actually even enjoying it, and not finding the diet part a chore which I was expecting to.

If I keep going as I am I should be out of the obese BMI range by Christmas/early Jan, which was one of my goals to meet before TTC. DH and I had a heart to heart a few weeks ago and decided that we don't want to be bad examples for our future children, so we'd better sort out our weight now. He's already lost 6lb! (Although when I actually got him on the scales he weighed 1.5st more than his "guestimate") Hopefully before we start TTC i'll have got down to the middle of the "overweight range" and will be in a better position healthwise when I do fall pg.

Also, I've been asked to quote for my first wedding cake commission (that isn't friends/family) which I'm super excited about. Eventually (10 years time or so) I'd like to quit my job and run a celebration cakes business, so I'm trying to get as much experience as possible.

Well done on the weight loss littlemoog and the cake commision! :T The weight loss will also really help when you do have little ones - someone I know who was morbidly obese had a gastric bypass earlier this year and she has said she has noticed she can do more and more things with her little girl as the weight drops off, plus she is not getting tired so easily.

Euronorris, it was a real motivator seeing that debt-free date come forward so much. I have since adjusted to just snowballing minimum payments rather than snowballing what we are already paying so that each month I get to bring it forward :p Hopefully that will help to motivate me to keep at it.

Same here - no AF and neg pg test :(

Well, the cramps became more regular and intense. Then came the cloud of 'I want to hide under a duvet and tell the world to f*ck off!', followed by some spotting which is gradually becoming heavier. So, AF is on her way.

So odd that it deviated this month though. I seemed to have all the ov symptoms at the same time in the month, but AF took longer to arrive. BAFFLED!

  • I have no idea what my cycle should be like as have been on the pill for 10 years! I think I ov'd 4 weeks ago but think my AFs are all messed up because of work stress. Had a chat with my manager today and feel a lot better so hopefully my AF might come soon. Never thought I would be looking forward to an AF lol

walby, I'm also "looking forward" to my AF, as I'm hoping this cycle will be shorter than the last one! I was on the pill for 13 years, so I really shouldn't be surprised it's taking so long to get out of my system, but I'm impatient!

Currently on CD28, and I have sore nipples this morning, which last time happened 2-3 days before AF began, so fingers crossed:p
