Crickey I didn't realise there were so many people who were in the same boat! I REALLY want a baby, but we have agreed not to TTC until May/June 2012, as we have to get a newer car (downsizing 2 to 1, with 5 doors) in March 2012 and pay down the mortgage etc.

    Oops - I though this was a new thread, then I started reading . . . . .can I join?

  • Euro-thanks again!

Nicki-Thanks so much for the info you have given me, I will look at that website when im home from work.

I have regular check ups at the hospital with my consultant and he recommended that I try for children now as im more than likely going to have to have surgery in 5 years or so which may affect my fertility. Im on Coloside and Azathioprine both of which he says are safe in pregnancy.

That's really interesting about vaginal delivery/flare ups.

Fingers crossed for you for your TTC journey and It's nice to be able to 'speak' to someone with colitis who has been through pregnancy.

Would it be possible to join with the rest of you guys on this thread?

    Hi abbybryan1982 and needhelpsaving

Of course you are both welcome to join!

    Still no AF, maybe tomorrow....

Ooo, Euronorris! If I forget, Happy Birthday for Sunday! :bdaycake:

All is ok here. Feeling way better about work (was crying every day) so I feel great. Got a night out on Saturday for my friend's birthday, then seeing BIL and his wife-to-be on Sunday and going to a fireworks display with them, which should be fun.

    How about everyone else?

    Hello peeps
I am officially almost sort of TTC! Hooray!
I finished my last pill-packet last Thursday and am not taking it tomorrow... so now the wait to see when my AF will appear and how it will behave! Am on the folic acid already so we wont be using contraception but will wait to get into TTC seriously for a few months til things are settled with my body.
Two friends had babies in last two weeks so am proper broody. Plus work has been miserable lately, so it sound terrible but I want the change of scenery and lifestyle, though am not looking forward to the train & tube pregnant :(
Thanks for sharing your stories and advice x

  • Hi Fran-o,

I am in a similar situation so I understand perfectly where you are coming from. What am worried about is if I get moring sickness - I am secondary school teacher and some classes really could not be trusted on their own if I had to rush off....

Woohoo, AF is here!!! Means that I may be moving over to to TTC board within the next week, but may I still lurk to see how everyone is getting on?

had a nasty shock last night, got home from gym to find police waiting as we'd been burgled :( we were lucky though, they broke in through the back window, grabbed DH's xbox (and one of my bags for life to carry it in!) and went upstairs. The alarm scared them off, they dropped the Xbox while climbing out the spare room window (inside, so no damage) and a neighbour caught one and he dobbed his little friend in (who was on an electronic tag curfew)

The worst bit was that they turned on all the gas taps in an attempt to hide their tracks , so house reeked of gas.

Stayed with a friend last night, after about 2 hours of hanging about doing statements etc. SOCO are here now, but we should be able to start cleaning up soon

Anyway, my fingers have swollen up, another sign AF is on her way I think. :j (or a side effect from all the salt in the pizza hut takeaway we grabbed on the way to our friends last night :o)

Things like this make me really angry. The thing they don't seem to understand is that they could have the nicer things in life, it just takes some hard work. Some people have no respect.

Any way, I hope you manage to get back to normality soon and good on your neighbour for catching one of them!
