    Hello people

Ditzie - I don't know if there's ever a right time. Are your work situations likely to change?

I'm on the last week of the pill before I've negotiated coming off it with OH - I'm weirdly excited. Although he'll go mental if I got pg within 3 months as he wants baby to be the oldest in the class at school not the youngest! I'm of the opinion that I've been on the pill for 10 + yrs so it'll be a good idea to get my body back to nature. I don't reckon it'll happen that quick but if it does I get a cute baby and OH will just have to cope! (I don't make that comment lightly btw - we're both into our 30's now so need to really get a rattle on, can't wait for perfect school age at our age ;-)

Good luck and don't bank on it taking a long while, it is a myth.
Woo - hoo - last few days on this thread!!

I was on the pill for 10 years and got caught first month with my fist baby, currenlty pregnant with my second - I though it would take ages with both but first month with first baby and this one, well i came off pill after having my gallbladder removed in april and was out of action for 2 months, and am now 17 weeks pregnant so that was either first or second month again.

Fingers crossed that he gets an answer soon Euro, I know they've been messing him about for ages. It's so frustrating to have to put plans on hold. I spent 2 years as a contractor before I got my current permanent job here, and I found it really unsettling as it was hard to make plans for the future when you're only on a weeks notice  Plus I knew that I wouldn't have a position to go back to if I took ML, so would never have been able to afford a baby then even if we'd scraped by on SMP.

God I hope so. It's getting to the point where I am having to resist the temptation to go to his office and unleash MY wrath on them! :rotfl:OH has unleashed his wrath (only verbally of course) a few times, but you know, hell hath no fury and all that!

He's been here since April 08, and they are still making promises and doing nothing. And worse, his manager keeps asking him when we're going to have a baby! He is told, everytime, that it won't be until he has a permanent, local contract and we have bought a place. He knows those things aren't in place, so why the hell ask?

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Rant, rant, ranty, rant, rant!

Sorry, have to get it off my chest though. And breathe!

    Me too :o

    How did it go euro?

To whomever asked about off pill time, I'd say however long you're willing to use something non hormonal for really. Getting your cycles more predictable is always good, and the longer they're not externally managed, the longer you'll have to spot a pattern. I came off the pill 2-3 months before ttc, and then found out while ttc that I have pcos and it wasn't just normal post-pill cycle irregularity. I wish I'd found out sooner how hard it might be, especially as almost a year later I'm still ttc. But that's just my experience. There's ladies like flutterby lil who have had no problems, thankfully :)

Hello everyone - Is it too late for me to join?

I've only just seen this thread but my husband & I would love to have children. Unfortunately, as with most people, money is a restriction. We also need to buy a bigger house before we have a baby so it's hard for us to put a date on things at the moment.

    Hello

To be honest I've been a little bit miserable lately. I think not being able to TTC has got to me a bit. I had a dream the other night that I had a baby. But it turned out I didn't. I had a teddy and really thought it was a baby but everyone knew it was a teddy and just went along with me to appease me. My Mum even bought me a cot and a pushchair for the "baby". Thankfully I'm not quite so crazy in reali life. Well not at the moment anyway :rotfl:

How are things going with you?

Sounds like my kind of crazy :D:p

I'm alright I guess. Trying to be more laid back about ttc this cycle, no idea if I have, or will, ov...trying to bd every couple of days and see what happens. Pretending to myself that I'm still trying to lose weight, when really I'm doing just enough to keep it stable :o bought some size 16 stuff recently tho :j I think we've decided to get referred back to gynae for fertility help in december, if we've got no where by then. Ideally I want to lose some more lbs by then, but I'm not stressing myself out about it tbh.

I can well imagine how frustrating and disheartening it is/can be for you
