Those who are waiting to TTC

uughh, don't talk to me about parents. My dad has been at me for years to have a baby, even when I was single and as soon as we got back from our honeymoon my mum started in with this little gem.
"Don't wait too long to have a baby because you're really not getting any younger and your eggs will dry up soon and the baby will be disabled if you can get pregnant at all."
Errm yeah, thanks for that mum!!Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Nudge nudge.
I've started saving (little bits) for maternity cover now. SIL has also said that I can have their baby stuff if we ever need it (as long as no one else needs it before us). Also, I'm now 'only' overweight! Woot! Still slightly surprised I was obese in the first place. I mean I'm normally the first person to criticise my appearance, but I didn't think I looked obese in my wedding pics!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

ARGH I wish I'd made a note of when I came off the pill, not had AF since and it feels like it's been months (not a chance I'm PG as not DTD since due to my episiotomy scar...yes, 9 months on..). I want to start charting again! My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |
Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.0 -

I agree with Euro COMP, your wedding pics were lovely, and I was surprised that you had so much weight to lose when you put your target in your sig
I have to lose about 20lb to get under BMI of 30, and I really want to do that before we start TTC. I need to lose about 50lb in total to get to BMI <25, but I don't want to put off TTC for too long, so will settle for getting to "only" overweight, and then carry on losing while TTC hopefully.
Good start to this week so far foodwise, and DH and I have joined the gym and went for induction last night. I'm off to a step class tonight, haven't been to one since uni when I fell over about 5 times in one class and never went back due to the shame!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Hi Ladies
I'm thinking about moving over here from the TTC board (if you'll have me)
We've not been able to try for just over 3 months and it looks like we wont be able to try again for another couple of months.
I've now progressed from just being jealous of those that get a BFP to those that are actively TTC - my jealousy knows no bounds
I'm sulking now0 -

Sorry to see you over here, but glad you've joined us. In terms of jealousy - I'm right with you thereI'm jealous of my brother as they have a six year old and a 5 month old. I'm jealous of one of my friends as they're trying. I'm jealous of the whole TTC thread too!
DH reminded me of one of my little 'peculiarities' last night. We were discussing pregnancy etc and he reminded me that I get freaked out by baby bumps. I just can't look at them... I'm REALLY hoping that if we get to that stage I can get over it otherwise I'm in for a hell of a 9 months! :rotfl:Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Also another one here who suffers from a case of the green eyed monster!
Bookface is awful for making that worse! There is always, at least, one person who likes to tell you every little detail about their pregnancy. Quite honestly, the mood I am in today, I would quite like to give her an earful. I won't of course, but I want to! lol
Oh, I do love bumps though! I could quite happily stick a pillow under my top and admire my 'bump' for a good while! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0
