Well done on the weight loss COMP :T

And aren't mums great! I told my mum we were going to start trying before the end of the year and she has now brought some baby bubble bath (apparently only because it was half price) and a pack of vests :D

Hope the exercise aches are easing off Euro - I did 10km on the cross trainer last night and I can really feel it im my - erm - seat area :rotfl:.

Will do the same again tonight then have to sit down and get some study done. I decided, having completed my first module on the 30th September, to start two more on the 1st October. So I am now working full time and studying full time. There's 36 hours in a day.....right??

Ha! The aches have worsened! :rotfl:They always do before they improve!

Hope your...erm...seat area is not so sore anymore! :rotfl:

Oh yes, absolutely, there are 36 hours in the day. I've yet to find them, but work assures me they are there! :rotfl:

No idea about calories TBH... I've been slightly under my daily points allowance, but I did use some of my weekly points (apologies if this is going over anyone's head). I haven't been hungry, and I did a 20 minute Zumba session on the wii on Thursday, and an hour on Monday. So not too much exercise, nor not enough food.

From my start weight I need to lose 2 stone to get my BMI back into the 'normal' category. But I'm aiming for a bit over 3 stone overall.

Went christmas shopping with mum last night and she kept pointing out the maternity & nursery stuff :o

    Oh, that sounds OK.

I used to save up 13.5 points each week, get weighed and then go and blow the points on a McDonalds meal! :rotfl::rotfl:

Your body will certainly let you know if it doesn't get enough food, or if you overdo it, so I think you're doing perfectly well :D

Oh bless Mums. Mine asks me if we've started trying yet each time I see her. I've told her why we are waiting at the moment, and I'd obviously tell her if we'd bought somewhere, so why she keeps asking me I don't know. She's got 6 grandkids already and a 7th due in November, so it's not like she's waiting just on me. :rotfl:

Mine's 'only' got two grandchildren, via my brother. She's told me that she wants me to have a baby so she can be more involved in the pregnancy. Not sure what DH will make of that :rotfl:

Ahh bless her. I'm guessing she wasn't able to be that involved with your SIL's pregnancy then?

I'm quite lucky as my eldest sister has had two already, and involved my Mum, my other sister is preggers now and involves Mum, and the younger of my SIL's lives quite far from her Mum and sisters so was always asking my Mum for support instead.

I'm hoping that all that will mean she doesn't feel she is missing out on too much with me living far away (when it happens). I know she will still miss it a bit, but I hope this has cushioned it a little. If that makes sense.

With their first, my brother was still living at home and SIL moved in with us, but no real involvement other than that. With their newest, no involvement at all really. My brother forgot to tell us about scans, we saw the scan pictures for the first time when they went on Facebook (only live a 5 minute drive away)....

Oh, that's such a shame. No wonder your Mum is looking forward to you being preggers and sharing that all with you.

Talking of scan pictures. Yet another friend on FB has just posted one, announcing that he is to be a father in April.

He's a casual ex, and I'm happy for him, but wish I had my own scan picture already :(

Has anyone else had a rush of friends, who claimed in the recent past that they never wanted kids, suddenly announce their pregnancies and how happy they are about it? I have. I know it shouldn't bother me, but it does. *sigh*

Yes euronoris, I know how you feel! So many of my friends have just had/about to have babies, my Facebook just seems to be full of baby pics and scan pics! It's not that I'm not happy for them, I'd just really like to be in that position as well - but that's not going to be happening a few years yet :(

Same here. I'm just at an age where there seems to have been a baby explosion! lol And weddings too, but I don't mind that. I love nosing through people's pics :D

  • A friend of mine last time I saw her (properly - I've bumped into her while shopping since) two years or so ago said that she was never going to get married and was never going to have a baby. Her daughter was born a few weeks ago eight weeks early and we're getting daily photos.....
