Those who are waiting to TTC

Yep, another one with friends driving them up the wall here! It's not so much jealousy here though I don't think. My best friend is my bridesmaid, she herself got married 3 years ago and has two lovely kids. We are trying to have a small budget wedding, and although my friends wedding wasn't a huge extravagant affair, every time I mention some bargain I get to do with the wedding, I get an almost pitying look from her e.g. I'm not having anyone to do my make up, I'm quite happy doing my own. I'm also quite happy to consider artificial flowers. I don't want to spend a fortune on new jewellery, I have a ton of the stuff in my jewellery box that I've never worn so that'll do nicely. I'm getting all my pics on CD, rather than printed and put in an album. Why? because it's what WE WANT! She's been married, so let me have my day how I want it!

Anyhow, rant over. I'm glad to report, on the WTTC front, that AF paid a visit this week. Which is good coz I've just stopped the injection and I was worried it wouldn't return straight away. Just got to wait til after the wedding and we get some pennies saved up before we start trying lol!

ditto, nothing interesting going on! I'm on CD19, first cycle off the pill, no idea how long my natural cycle is anyway. I'm just waiting to see if I get any signs of OV, so I can start to pinpoint my cycle for the new year. so far, nowt!

Nothing interesting here either! Honeymoon is in 2 and a half weeks :j then we're on countdown to TTC, I think it'll be best to start after Christmas/New Year but we still haven't pinned down a date as OH wants to start TTC straight away whereas I'd like to wait a little longer so I can enjoy the Christmas holiday period and my brother's wedding It makes no difference to OH if we try in October but it does to me as it's my body we're messing with!

I think it all comes down to the fact that he wants a baby before my SIL but I refuse to be in competition with someone, I'll have a baby when I'm good and ready. Either way it's very likely that we're going to overlap at some point which I've made my peace with, I don't think of it as stealing each other's thunder, but sharing each other's joy!

Morning All!

AF arrived on Friday, so have been feeling sorry for myself, inbetween tidying and cleaning the flat etc.

I've also been taking a step back from the thread, so I don't get too upset about having to wait still. Been particularly tough with so many births recently. Another one on Friday evening! And there is still my sister's to come in November too.

Sigh.

Hi RebekahR,
I'm reckoning somewhere around 13th Sept-knowing my luck it will be 17th Sept when I'm going to a wedding!! Think I might have one more before actively TTC as we're off to NZ on the 15th Oct, which is when we are going to start to TTC (I'd love if we got lucky over there, I'd have a little kiwi inside me!)
I've been lurking on the TTC thread in anticipation (seen you over there!)-although I think I'll be too scared to move over to the "grown up" thread!!
