Those who are waiting to TTC

Morning All,
what grotty weather! Fingers crossed it improves by the weekend! What's it like over with you Euro?
Nothing much has changed here, I'm still bored of waiting, although as we're waiting until we go to NZ, that means it's only 10 weeks until we are "Officially TTC"!!

Yesterday was rainy and miserable. Today is hot and sunny!February wins: Theatre tickets0

it's officialy minging weather here, I was going to walk to the canteen to get a salad for my lunch, but ended up just eating my fruit and a granola bar from my emergency stash as it's been hammering down all day outside
On the plus side I shouldn't need to water my veggies tonight!
DH is going to a party on a boat on Saturday, hope the weather improves before then!

It's not so sunny anymore, but still dry. I'm just glad it isn't raining! When I checked the forecast yesterday, it was rain for the next week! Oh joy! lol
At least the shops will be open on Sunday this weekendIn my town, they are only open every 1st Sunday of each month (clothes shops and the like, that is!
).

Very excited to be joining this thread!
Dan and I have been talking about starting a family at some point in the future when we're a bit more financially stable.
We've agreed that we'd like (in the ideal world of course!) for the first baby to be here in the next 24 months. Seeing as it takes 9 months to cook a lovely baby bun, that means only 12-15 months to wait before the babymaking starts! :T Woop woop!
The countdown starts! :T0 -
I agree about coming off the pill. I was on Cezatte and came off it after 6/7 years. I had quite severe depression during that time. I've been off it nearly four years now, since I had DD1 she's nearly three - and have never looked back.
Can't face going back on them as I'm sure the hormones didn't agree with me
I would prepare yourself to expect to fall pregnant, I fell pregnant the first month with both mine. I was 'shocked' with DD2 as I was breastfeeding and not having periods, but thrilledOPs so far £42,139
Original end date Nov 2037 (53) Current end date June 2024 (40) Aiming for 5 years to be Mf
DD1 Oct 2008:), DD2 Jul 2010:), DD3 Aug 2013:)
When life is getting me down I try to remember to thank God for the blessings0 -
me and hubby already have 1 child together and I had an angel baby before I met him, we're recently married so have discussed babies again.
upshot: I've finished my second year of uni, going on placement this year so will graduate july 2013 - then need to do a 1yr Legal Practice Course and a 2 yr training contract. I find it hard already to cope with juggling everything, I don't know if I could love another child as much as I love my son if that makes sense? I'm overweight so don't know if I would cope well with getting so big in pregnancy again. We want to buy a house, and I think we will all have a better quality of life if its just 3 of us, at least for now.
Hubby wants another, is prepared to wait, but really wants another saying it will be better for DS to have a sibling and we are "well off" so will be fine.
but.....my LMP was on july 2nd or around there, and I've not come on yet but 2 tests (both first response) have been negative. a couple of weeks ago I kept falling asleep on the sofa around 8pm for 4 nights in a row, boobs are bigger too. It wouldnt be the end of the world but I'd rather not be pregnant, I think we probably will have another one at some point but right now I'm a bit confused! I remember the period date as I remember thinking good now it won't be there at the wedding, but have no idea of ovulation dates or anything, I'm usually fairly regular though - does anyone have any advice? it would be gratefully recieved.0 -
Morning all
5 days til I come off the pill, and I've finally managed to get DH to read the planning for a healthy pregnancy book :rotfl: I've had it for 3 months, and he's been refusing to look at it. We've agreed to start trying jan/feb next year, as long as financial circumstances look promising for getting our debts gone by the time the baby comes. so excited!
had a nasty shock at the weekend though, my sister who already has 2 girls has got pregnant with a copper coil fitted. She's only a few weeks gone, but has a lot of bleeding, and has been in and out of hospital all week. They've been doing a lot of tests and think it's probably ectopic
She'll know for sure on Tuesday what they're going to do about it, it's such early days that they can take a bit of time to investigate, but it's very stressful for herIt's put me off the idea of a coil, which I was planning to use after pregnancy for contraception.

Welcome to our newest members!
Mary - I don't really have any advice to offer. Maybe wait a week, test again, and if still negative visit the doctor to figure out why your period hasn't arrived. Sorry I can't be more help.
I also think, with everything else you have going on, waiting a while before you try for baby number 2 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Maybe try to agree with your hubby that you will try for number 2 after your course is finished?
LittleMoog - VERY exciting!
Sorry to hear about your sister thoughI hope they figure it all out soon, and she recoveres quickly.
I have a copper coil too, and I was convinced I was pregnant this month as I was 3 days late! All sorts of worst case scenario's were flying through my head, including ectopic.
Sometimes I wonder if it's worth the hassle, but I just can't face going back on the pill. The migraines were awful, and I had lost my sex drive completely. I can't think of any other long term, non hormonal contraception form. Condoms are SUCH a pain, I hate them.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
oh Littlemoog how awful for your sister! having to wait aswell, must be driving her mad. I hope it all turns out to be ok x0
