  • Discussion went well with DH - he has agreed to implant coming out end of March next year, letting my hormones go back to normal and seeing how we go. I told him it may well take until July for them to settle, so it's no different to what he was suggesting anyway!

Ahh, that's good news darling. :)

Whether you keep that implant in or not, is always your decision anyway. It's your body after all. So, if you want to take it out earlier and switch to a different contraception method between now and then, then you should.

Of course, if it's not causing any issues, then no need to change right now.

Has anyone on here seen the NHS 5 a Day meal planner? I found it yesterday whilst searching for a healthy meal planner and I think it's great! http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/5aday.aspx

I'm going food shopping tonight :)

Oh, my Mooncup never showed. Had an email to say it was out of stock, and they weren't getting anymore. So, have ordered from somewhere else. Problem is, am due on tomorrow. Booo hiss!

Does anyone else have bouts of really bad impatience? I have never been the most patient person in the world :o, but I am having to stop myself at the moment from trying to..ahem.."accidentally" forget to be safe in trying-not-to-get-pregnant-yet because I want to start now, in case it takes ages to actually happen!
    Geeezz, I HATE waiting! xx

    Yeah, I get impatient.

I have an IUD fitted, so there is nothing for me to forget. But....I do secretly hope it will happen anyway, and there would be no complications as a result of the IUD being there. How silly is that?

Incidentally, I was expecting AF today, and nothing, no cramping or spotting. My dates could be a day or two off though, they usually are and I usually just get my hopes up for no reason! lol

Got a stitch from walking to the station this morning! It's only 5 minutes. Seem to have been like this for the last week or so. I need to get my arris down the gym me thinks!

  • My brother has just set the date for his wedding! It's two days before our first wedding anniversary, so nine months away... You know the first thing my mum said? "If you want to upstage him, whip that implant out of your arm so you're about to burst on his wedding day" :rotfl:

Seriously though, if we're lucky to catch the beanie quite quickly, I could be pregnant by May. And not drinking. And trying to disguise the fact that I'm not drinking.....

I wrote a really long reply yesterday but my internet went wonky and didn't post it, then I took the hump and refused to write it again! :)

I get very impatient too, I don't even have to wait that long really, but it's frustrating that we can't just get on with it!

I'm a bit confused about what to do actually, I signed up for Medicash on Sunday, we're paying £38 a month and when we have a baby they'll give us £800 (nice of them!) but we have to have had the policy for 12 months to get the baby payment. So... taking into account the fact that the baby could arrive a little early we wouldn't really want to concieve until January but we had wanted to start trying October/November time. I don't know if we should wait until after Christmas just in case we're lucky and catch straight away or just go for it and assume that it'll take a few months practising anyway. Hmmmm. I know an extra 2/3 months is nothing in the grand scheme of things, but I'm disappointed all the same! I just wish I'd been more on the ball and signed up earlier, I thought I had loads of time but June and July just passed in a blur and next thing I know it's August!

ETA: LOL at your Mum COMP! My friend is getting married next August and I'm thinking the same, if we're lucky I could be ready to pop on the Big Day, and I don't want to miss the wedding as it's a really good friend and OH is best man! I also know that if I was in hospital in labour he'd have to stay to make the speech and meet me there later! :rotfl:
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
