Those who are waiting to TTC

MrsBryan - you get married shortly after mee. Scary isn't it????
Had a quick chat with mum about TTC (seriously!) at the weekend. Instigated by her, mind you! She was asking when OH & I are thinking of trying etc. I think she knows just how broody I am. It's really difficult to hide it these days!
I also had my hen do at the weekend and babies were mentioned at that.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

I know the majority of posters are happy for us to be there but the minority are VERY vocal about their opinions and I personally am trying to be sensitive to everyone's feelings. A couple of posters have said on numerous occasions that they will no longer be posting, yet they come back to swipe at those who are WTTTC. I for one don't want to have to tread on eggshells.
Financially (and this is MSE after all) the needs of those who are waiting (e.g. to clear debts etc) are different to those of those who are actively trying which is why (from a moneysaving point of view) I think we probably are better off separate.
Note that the main thread seems to have calmed now
Hi ladies
not trying to say this thread is pointless just that its a shame whats happened on the other thread. I feel a bit in limbo where to post without stepping on peoples toes atm

Hi all
I'll second whoever said about painful 'natural' periods! After being on the pill for 8 years and the implant for 3, we decided in March to combine natural planning and condoms until we start trying in January. On the plus side, I am so happy to have my body back (if that makes sense?) and to establish regular cycles, but my god it hurts! Feels like I'm 12 years old again and just started my period, so painful and heavy
Went to a car boot yesterday with DH, saw the most gorgeous and pristine pram/pushchair...we were both sorely tempted to get it but had to remember that we aren't (really) able to start TTC until January...aaah! This waiting game is not fun! :rotfl:

I'm also experiencing bad period pains after being on the pill for.....15 years! Wow! Hadn't realised it was so long. But, they were awful last month after having the IUD fitted. This month, they were bad, but much more manageable with painkillers and a hot water bottle (I have a small one which OH's Mum gave me and is perfect for using at work without attracting lots of attention).
After the drama last month though, OH has been extra worried about this weekend! lol. Everytime I winced he was asking if I was OK, do we need to go to the doctor's etc! Bless him! In the end I told him he'd no if it was that bad as I would either cry, throw up or pass out! lol
I hope my future babies aren't as stubborn as my niece was. She was in breach, and they managed to turn her twice, but she turned right back again! hahaha So the hospital insisted on a c-section and then again for her sister a few years later due to the scar tissue of the first c-section. I'd love to be able to give birth naturally, if possible.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Oh I shall, and on Saturday and on Sunday! Hehehehe
I volunteered to work as a steward for some of the time also, so hoping to get a little closer to the actorsMust remain calm and not turn into a beetroot if they say hello to me! :rotfl::rotfl:

Hello. Is it ok if I play in here? I'm not sure I'm welcome in the other place until we start trying again. At the moment we're relying on NFP not to get me pregnant. A BFP wouldnt be the end of the world but it would be a bit inconvenient so chances are...
I'm the opposite of the poster who was worried about a 7 year old. I'm really not keen on newborns. If I could just have a baby who instantly grew to be about 6 months old overnight...:rotfl:0 -
Hello and welcome LoopyLaura!
Of course you can post in here.
I've just come on to whinge about my sore b00bs. Another symptom I didn't get whilst on the pill. Seems to start right after OV, and doesn't go away until a few days into AF. Only, this month it's CD5 and they're still sore. I'd quite like it if I could have more than 1 week a month where they don't hurt. Bah humbug!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Wow how exciting! I sooo love birth stories!
dunno what happened on the ttc thread but in their(ok I probs only know QQ now:o) defense, they are a lovely, supportive bunch but as you will soon find out, when you're not successful on the 1st few tries, hormone and stress levels go through the roof and with that amount of hormones there's bound to be misunderstandings & misreable down days where you wann snap someones head off, think constant PMT for about 3 months:D
QQ is the exception, my personal opinion, she's either completely mental or a saint:D:D:D
any hoo down to business.........Now, do you have room for another???:A:D
I'm WTTC numero 2, can't afford another just yet and it's still a bit soon for me as I was told to wait 12 months when I had DD and hubby is a stickler for the rules * rolly eyes* if it was my choice I'd have started ttc when bubs was 12 weeks old, and no I'm not kidding:o:D
look forward to getting to know you all and as I'm a seasoned ttcer I might be able to help and possibly even add a few pearls of wisdom................. but probably not:p:)1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:
