    hello ladies!

Can I lurk here cos I like hearing what you have to say regardless of if you are TTC or not? It's a real shame what's happened on the other thread but TTC and WTTC can be stressful and I guess it's inevitable not everyone will see eye to eye.:o

Our own TTC will be on hold for a while as OH will be working away a lot and there will be several thousand miles between sperm and egg. You can't get better contraception than that:o

Regular cycles and ovulation to all:D

    Hi Guys

Well like many others I have NO Idea what has gone on on TTC but I would def describe myself as WTTC so here I am!! I am so excited, I have done uni, training etc and a couple of years in my job and we have sensibly waited and now it is all I want in the world :D We are getting married in July and then will TTC after that.

I am on the pill and was going to stop before the wedding but my GP pointed out periods can get irregular etc and after almost 10 years on the Pill do I really want to be worrying about that on my wedding day..... with wedding and honeymoon obviously by then we would be TTC but I get a bit worried about drinking etc as I always thought I wouldn't drink alcohol when TTC.....starting dieting for wedding so diet etc should be okay by then....

does anyone have any views or advice on the pill and when to come off it?

And any moneysaving tips, from FT pay to possible SMP???

Thanks in advance and I look forward to following this thread x x x

I was in the same situation as you, desperate to start ttc but not wanting af to get in the way of wedding/honeymoon. I cam off mine on honeymoon mid pack which probably wasn't the smartest move as af (withdrawal bleed I think) arrived towards the end of our honeymoon that's was 31st march for five or six days.
I'm now cd2 of what I hope is my first cycle and first true af in over ten years

Thanks emsbet, sometimes I think a few weeks/a month isn't going to make a difference and then sometimes I think about all the ladies here and ladies I know that have had probs :( and think there's no time to waste!!! I will probably just finish whatever pack I am on by the time the wedding rolls round....but yes, like your signature emsbet, I am starting to realise patience is a virtue I lack LOL LOL

For what it's worth I have read a bit of the other thread and I think there is room for everyone but I am glad there is a thread aimed at people waiting to TTC. I do understand both sides and at the end of the day if you are in the middle of TTC and having probs, it might not be nice to hear people are voluntarily waiting. But then no one tells those who have had babies, or those over 12 months trying to go somewhere else. Anyway, I think there is demand for this thread so I hope it stays x

    Hi Ladies!

Thought I'd pop my head into this one. I've been with my boyfriend for 7 years now, and over the last 6 months or so we've both been feeling really broody. We're only 27 but have good jobs, and no debt. We're currently househunting and our ideal plan would be to buy a house, get married, have a baby and live happily ever after - all in that order!

In reality we've been househunting for nearly a year now, and still haven't found anything, so it's starting to really get us down as it feels a bit like life is on hold. We're in a rented two bedroom flat, and while we could manage with a baby here, it's not the ideal situation and in the back of my head I feel like I should do things in the 'right' order (house, wedding, babies), so at the moment any kind of 'trying' isn't going to happen.

I've been on the pill for about 7 years so I'm worried it'll take ages for my cycle to regulate one I come off it. But at the same time, my preriods were so irregular in the first place I don't really want to come off it unless we're actively trying - it had the terrible habit of showing up when it wasn't wanted!

So for now, I'm concentrating on finding us somewhere to live, and mentally planning our wedding (should he ever get round to asking!) to avoid baby thoughts!

I totally agree, logically I am no where near ready for another child but the longing to hold another baby is huge. I only have to see a newborn on the TV and my ovaries start to weep. I really thought that broodiness would get better after a baby but mine is worse. I blame the baby head smell though in reality both of mine have smelled strongly of Parmesan cheese a lot of the time.:rotfl:

I was on the pill between the age of 17 and 25. Came off it and my cycle is as regular as it was back than. The only problem I occured is the bl..y pain I experience, it's really really strong every month!

Hey, just thought I'd pop in and say hi! I'm sad that you guys moved off the TTC thread - you're some of my favourite "old" faces!
I'm pretty p*ssed off about what happened on the TTC thread as I think some of it was just plain b*tchy and childish, but you have to not get too involved - at the end of the day, it's just an internet forum, you don't know these people, you never have to meet them! The facelessness of it means that sometimes people say things they would never dare say to someone's face. There are people on here that I think I could easily get on with in real life, but there are many more that I get the feeling I would realistically never be friends with! But that's fine, it's just the nature of open forums - like it or lump it.

Please do come back when you're actively TTC (or earlier if you fancy it!), and please don't be afraid to announce your BFP when you get it! I think it's a bit tactless when random people suddenly appear purely to announce a BFP, but if you've been posting then who cares if you've only been TTC a month or two? You're perfectly entitled to be happy, and I for one will be glad to say congratulations!

I won't be posting on here regularly as I don't have time to follow more than one thread, but I will stick my head round the door every so often to say hello :)

    BB x

p.s. can't remember who asked about Fertility Friend but it's a really handy website for learning about your cycle etc. I'd def recommend (not that I did it myself) starting to record your symptoms etc before actively TTC, to get the hang of things and start to spot regular changes etc. My chart is here if you're interested: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/33e41b
