  • Hi All,

Being the one who started this post and to expose and make everyone aware, I thought i'd come back and tell you all - I got my £32.00 refunded by PayPal.

ANYONE, suckered into TigerGame's pathetic excuses may want to read on, on this post and you will then realise they are a total con.

Obviously I was one of the first batch of people who foolishly got suckered in by TigerGame, fooled by the Profesional Style of the website, the .co.uk domain (I will always do a WHOis domain search beforehand in future) and the secure Payment (Through Paypal - the only wise decision I made) I also saw the Google 'Recommended' Link which like someone said in this thread - somehow gave it some kind of credibility - so in future I will take no notice of this (as it was gone the next day!) - This is the first time I have ever been fooled on the net, and TigerGame are a scam .... here is why:

After 8 days of the game not turning up, I performed the who is search - did a bit of diggign and realised I'd been had, so immediately lodged a complaint against TigerGame on PayPal - Trading Standards, WatchDog etc - called the boys in so to speak, after about 2 weeks - I got a package from Thailand... however it was an A4 envolope not the game package I was expecting - so I was expecting to find a copied Gears of War... but oh no, opened it up and inside was a cheap Japanese DVD in a plastic film - of Tweety pie!! Also inside the envolope was a order Receipt, all badly alligned and clearly mocked up! It wasnt addressed to me but someone else, I googled the address did a 192 search and no matches ... hmmmm.... then I realised the Town/ City and postcode that were on the 'fake receipt' didnt even exist! So... they had mocked up a receipt with a fake address and posted me a cheap Japanese 10p DVD - the kind people try sell you in pubs (which i threw in the bin) .... it all painted a horrible picture! They were trying to make out that orders had been mixed up. Anyway 2 days later their website was offline with the sob-story message about PayPal not paying them.

So if anyone was to any doubt about TigerGame v PayPal - PayPal were RIGHT to suspend payments, TigerGame are a complete con! Also, I see their website is BACK!! Unbelievebale and are said to 'take orders in the new year' we have to spread the word before more inocent people fall at the hands of these dispicable con artists - everyone contact watch dog with our expereices and get them blacklisted.

Also, do a whois search and contact TigerGame's domain ISP.

  • I have just heard back from PayPal that they are going to refund my money. :T

I lodged a dispute with them on th 8th December and because the seller gave no response by the 18th then it fell in my favour. Was only for £35.

Looks like I'm the first to not get settled by Paypal...

"After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer
    Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favour, however, we were unable to recover any
funds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement,
recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Please know that we will make our best effort to recover the funds in
question if they become available in the seller's account in the future,
and will take appropriate action against the seller. Such action may
include issuing a warning, a temporary restriction, or terminating the
account. Keep in mind that PayPal uses a number of factors, including
member complaints, to determine when to take action. Due to privacy laws,
we cannot discuss the details of any action taken. We hope you understand
our policy and that it reassures you that you are safe using PayPal. "

Big wow - dispute in my favour, but no refund
  • I have also had my claim turned down by PayPal. It seems to me that they must have witheld some of the money they received from customers of Tiger as soon as they realised there was something up. I paid on 28 November, presumably my money was passed to Tiger as yours was. I think someone else previously said they paid on the 29th and were hopeful of getting their money back. I have now claimed from my credit card company but have heard nothing from them as yet.

I have also written to Michael Ward Web Design as advised by the Trading Standards people, also I've contacted Watchdog.

I cannot find any mention of a Michael Ward Web Design anywhere, let alone in Truro, and the postcode TR2 1DF does not seem to exist either.

I would be surprised if these scum had used any real information.
  • I have also been given a refund by PayPal, I Bought from Tigergame on the 29th Nov, lodged complaint on the 10th of December, received refund on the 22nd Dec, paypal payment was through my bank account. I also contacted Watch Dog, maybe that did the trick?? :T
  • I'VE NOW BEEN CONTACTED BY PAYPAL WHO SAY:

''We have decided in your favour, however, we were unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.''

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT ROUTE I SHOULD TAKE NOW? I HAVE CONTACTED WATCHDOG TO NO AVAIL. I'VE LOST £73 WHICH IS A DAYS WORK AFTER TAX, WHY SHOULD TIGERGAME BE ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS? IT'S NOT JUST THE MONEY, THESE GAMES WERE FOR MY CHILDREN NOW I'VE HAD TO GO AND FIND THEM ELSEWHERE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

I feel such a fool writing to a non-existent person! I should have checked first but you are right, there is no such person, nor is there any such address. I did find a 'Mike Ward Web Design' on the internet; I emailed him and he is nothing to do with Tiger, I think he is in the US. So what do we do now? Who can we report Tiger to, does anyone know? I feel very strongly that they shouldn't be allowed to recommence trading in the New Year, as they are threatening to.
