I think some things just need to be chalked up to 'boys will be boys' and nothing more.:cool:0

A boy or man who has never looked at !!!!!! is about as unusual as a woodpecker with rubber lips!0

I don't think anyone will argue with this. There seems to be a greater issue as to whether what he's accessing is age-appropriate and whether this will distort his view of women and sex.0 -
!!!!!! can never be age appropriate. You have to be 18 to look at it. Says the law anyway. After 18 even people who should probably not be looking at it because they do not possess the social and intellectual tools to do so have every right to view. I understand what you mean by age appropriate but the law sees it in a different way.
I'm told that in Dubai !!!!!! is very difficult to access in any form. How is it that they can stop minors looking at it there but not here?0 -

They will employ some form of Internet censorship at ISP level.
It has actually been discussed in the UK. David Cameron said last year that he would be in favour of a system whereby ISPs would block pornography to every UK internet user and it would be up to the user to specifically request the block to be removed. It reminded me of the "Bangkok ladyboys" episode of Alan Partridge where he has to phone reception to make pornography come on his television. :rotfl:
There are already similar systems in place. The Internet Watch Foundation maintains a list of all sites hosting illegal !!!!!! which some (maybe all, but I don't think so) ISPs use to block those sites from being accessed. If I recall, attempting to access such a site simply returns a 404 error for users who are using an ISP that uses the IWF's list. This, of course, is only able to block known sites.
The ISPs have said that there is far too much material online, with new sites launching every day, to effectively block all !!!!!!, although given how other countries have with large levels of success blocked parts of the Internet it may just be that they don't want to do the work.
Here's an article about the supposed plans - http://thenextweb.com/uk/2010/12/19/all-internet-!!!!!!-to-be-blocked-in-the-uk/
Still, there's always Sky's 900 channels... :rotfl:0 -
Doesn't google (the largest search engine) own Red tube (yes you tube) , in their words "the home of !!!!!!." I had a look for research purposes. Money talks it seems.0

There are some security features you can set up on your son's computer without downloading anything, for example, the laptop my son uses switches itself off at 9pm regardless of what is happening on it and can't be switched back on until 8am.
I think the thing with viewing pron online is that it's unregulated so your son really could come across anything. Hopefully the added security will help your peace of mind.
My son is only in year 6 but a few months ago he came home and told me he'd been to his (female) friends house and she showed him pron on her computer in her bedroom. At the time I put it down to her showing off but I did ask him not go to her house again. We started being more open and honest about sex last year when he came home from school with a truck load of questions0 -
I think as a parent you have to be realistic about this issue.
Virtually every mobile phone can access !!!!!! now and this can be easily transferred between phones. If your child does not possess such a device you can bet your bottom dollar one of their friends does.
I remember my daughter when she was 15 looking at her friends mobile and laughing, when I asked what she was laughing at she replied 'a fat woman being sha**ed in the belly button'! She's now 18 and still hasn't tried sex yet.
If anything I think !!!!!! satisfies the curiosity and squashes the mystery around sex.
Obviously you wouldn't want your 6 year old seeing anything but I think by the time they reach their teens you have to cut them enough slack to find what things turn them on and indeed off.
It is impossible to prevent your children seeing !!!!!! at some point. As long as you bring them up well they won't turn into raging sex beasts.0 -
Reading this thread reminded me of something my younger brother once said to my younger sister (he was 13 at the time, she was 16). He said 'no wonder you don't have a boyfriend, your t*ts are to small!' When my Dad spoke to him , he said 'men only like ladies with big breasts like they have on the internet!' Needless to say my poor sister was devasted, and my brother had a serious telling off!
I worry that boys watching !!!!!! think all women look like !!!!!! stars, this puts more pressure on young girls to look a certain way. I don't think you can stop boys looking at !!!!!!, they will always find a way.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Girls do get this pressure from boys and some boys are also affected because they don't look like the studs in the !!!!!!.
That's why I think the Channel 4 sex programmes are so good - they show that everyone looks different and give the kids confidence that they are "normal".0
