still no reply yet from them re my application, anyone who takes this long to open an account is a joke.

Im going to let them open it and then close it straight down. Been about 3 weeks now, to open an account! ha ha ha.

In the meantime I have opened 2 accounts elsewhere received pins and cards registered for internet and telephone banking as well.

Just a sugegstion if your that unhappy with the process time why not call them and ask to cancel the application. After all you know have two other bank accounts. :j

No thanks marcell, I am going to let them go to the trouble of opening the account then I will let them have the hassle of having to cancel it.

Ill wait and see but I will close the account anyway even if I get it, I don't want to bank with someone that takes a month to open an account. Most places want to look after their new customers, first impressions and all that. I wouldnt say a wait of a month to open an account is a good impression.

I had to wait 4 weeks to open my Cashminder account last year ... That was done by post as well ... It did take a while to open however I can't praise the Co-op Bank highly enough ... so the lengthy account opening time was no indication of the account or the service they provide. My only gripe with them is the Electron card ... ;)

    Hello everyone

Just thought I'd post with regards the Citibank account. Have received a Visa Debit Card from them this morning and cheque book but the card is not also a cheque garrantee card, just a basic Visa Debit but I, for one, am happy with that.

Hope this helps anyone who is considering Citibank/or has applied.
Thanks Weller, Thats just what im after....just applied online to citibank...Aand L turned me down, so really hope that they accept us. This is a parachute account...and the ball is already rolling!

Has anyone received the money from Quidco yet for opening the CItibank account?
I have £80 in my Quidco added column in my earnings but no date or anything, but Citibank is no longer shown as a Quidco merchant.
