Both the plus and access accounts are current accounts the difference is that the plus account give some more benefits but charge a fee of £10/month and the access account dont give those extra benefits but dont charge a fee either.
So its upto each individual, i.e. if you want those extra benefits then keep the plus account (sterling current account at the moment but will be changed to the plus account on 1st April) and if you dont want those extra benefits its best to shift to the access account so that you dont have to pay the monthly fee of £10.

Thanks for all of your help .
Can you tell im new to all this i dont mind the £10 charge well just in time for my birthday god 21 again.

    Hey, it's a pleasure ... :D

I'm fairly new to the forum myself (although my post count is going up rather quickly) ... and everyone is really friendly and helpful on this thread ...

I'm also planning to stay with the sterling/plus account as the mobile phone/holiday insurance will come in rather handy .... :T

maybe i didnt read it right, but i just applied online and it seemed to me by the page that came up and the email at the end of the application screen that it had already been accepted?

And that it was just a case of sending in the id etc to confirm it. Maybe I read it wrong though we will have to wait and see.

Hopefully that is the case for you. I know when I aplied I got an email telling me what ID was required. Then a few days later I got the paper application. They may have changed the process
