2. Is there any option online that you can order statement of your account whenever you want and whats the fee?
3. If a downgrade is made from the plus account to the access account will the cheque book remain the same?
4. After downgrading to the access account can one again upgrade to the plus account whenever he/she wants?

According to the brochure you can get full real time access to your statements on line - it does not mention postal statements. The list of charges includes a fee for a duplicate statement but no suggestion they charge otherwise. My reading of the web site is that the access account has no cheque book with it. You can pay cash in at a Citibank branch in London or Manchester or at any branch of Lloyd's (the latter taking three days).
Why not give them a call and ask about your queries? The number is 0800 0088000 -

I am so upset I applied for the citibank account and whilst my credit file is pretty grim (1 county court and 2 defaults) they have turned me down.
I have not had the letter explaining why yet but as I applied early in Jan I rang today and was told that they had not been able to offer me an account. I am now pickled as I am in the process of trying to recclaim my bank charges from the Abbey National some £470 and need an account to pay my benefit into and to pay bills. Has anyone got any ideas.I dont want to go applying all over to wreck my credit file even more. So would be grateful for any advice.
|Thanks
Gillian
I agree with the other comments, that a Halifax Easycash might be a good choice. You can apply on line and it now comes with a Visa Electron card (previously it was just an ATM card). there is no cheque book but it does DDs and SOs and doesn't charge for cash withdrawals etc. You can use any link machine and the post office. You cannot use branch counter services where a machine is available though, but I think that's fair enough as I doubt it is a profitable account.
