I have recieved my application to check and sign in the post this morning, telling me all about the account ect..just gotta send it back with relevant ID ect..as its a joint application i also have to send my other halfs ID..maybe its common sense to do do but it doesnt state that on the application.
Im sending in a recent gas bill, bank statement, letter from dwp stating benefits and SDA recieved and colour copy of my passport(i dont have a personal cheque to send in)
Fingers crossed i get this,i too have poor credit rating(about 665) no ccjs, but a few defaults..all being paid ect now..i also have contract phone and a credit card so my credit score is improving???

khurammm wrote:I applied on 28th Jan and got my ids back some days ago. I called them today and I was told that my application is still under process. I think this delay is due to the huge amount of applications they have got recently.
Pls be nice to all MSer's

I am so upset I applied for the citibank account and whilst my credit file is pretty grim (1 county court and 2 defaults) they have turned me down.
I have not had the letter explaining why yet but as I applied early in Jan I rang today and was told that they had not been able to offer me an account. I am now pickled as I am in the process of trying to recclaim my bank charges from the Abbey National some £470 and need an account to pay my benefit into and to pay bills. Has anyone got any ideas.I dont want to go applying all over to wreck my credit file even more. So would be grateful for any advice.
|Thanks
Gillian
Sorry to hear that Gillian ... citibank do seem very inconsistent at who they will accept and who they won't.
As others suggest try the Halifax Easycash account - I don't think they credit check as such but they do identity checks .... Also the co-op cashminder account is another good one ...:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

I just tried to add my citi account to Paypal but it says that my account doesn't allow electronic Direct debits.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I wanted to change everything over so I could close my RBS account.
Anyone know how I can sort this out? I haven't had any problem changing any DDs over and my tax credits went into my account today as it should have done so I can't see what the problem would be.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
