I applied on 28th Jan and got my ids back some days ago. I called them today and I was told that my application is still under process. I think this delay is due to the huge amount of applications they have got recently.<<If you liked what I said then feel free to click on the thanks button>>0 -
I am so upset I applied for the citibank account and whilst my credit file is pretty grim (1 county court and 2 defaults) they have turned me down.
I have not had the letter explaining why yet but as I applied early in Jan I rang today and was told that they had not been able to offer me an account. I am now pickled as I am in the process of trying to recclaim my bank charges from the Abbey National some £470 and need an account to pay my benefit into and to pay bills. Has anyone got any ideas.I dont want to go applying all over to wreck my credit file even more. So would be grateful for any advice.
|Thanks
Gillian:j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0 -

computerwoman wrote:Hi sorry to hear your bad news when I applied to citibank I also applied to halifax easycash I was lucky and got both, I would try for the halifax easycash, you get a DD card so you can pay for things on line and you can also do DD's hope this helps CW
Hi CW I also applied for the halifax easycash when I applied for citi account. Its been about 10 days now but have not received any reply yet from halifax. Can you plz tell me how long usually it takes for the reply for easycash and if accepted will I get a welcome letter or what? If you know the halifax number where I can enquire about my application then plz give it to me.
Thanx in advance.<<If you liked what I said then feel free to click on the thanks button>>0 -

Gillianh2 my credit file is much worse than yours so maybe they have refused you for some other reason but who knows how you can find out?
I am a discharged bankrupt, I have approx 12 defaults, untold unsatisfied ccj's and 2 ccjs from this year 2007 but citibank accepted me.
I hope you find an account soon, is there maybe an appeal process with citibank?0 -

Hi Gillian
Have you moved quite a few times within the last few years? I have been told that this sometimes causes problems and I would double check that you are actually on the electoral roll at your current address just in case. It seems odd that you did not get the account when others have more CCJ's, etc so it must be something other than that. Maybe you could call them again and ask? Please let us know how you get on x0
