My pack arrived today.
I have my passport and bank statements. No bills (they're inclusive in my rent) and no chequebook. Will the passport and bank statement and a letter saying I have no chequebook be sufficient ID?
Your bank statement and a colour photocopy of your passport with a covering letter stating that you dont have a cheque book will be sufficient.
I sugest you to have your passport photocopy verified from a solicitor as some people have been asked to do so by citibank.<<If you liked what I said then feel free to click on the thanks button>>0 -

Will I have to pay a solicitor to do this? I don't even know where I'm gonna find the time to get it certified...I've just started a new job and can't take time off to go off hunting for a solicitor.0 -

They usually charge you £5 per verification. As I told, you can just send them a colour photocopy and the verification is just a precaution.<<If you liked what I said then feel free to click on the thanks button>>0 -

May I sugegst that you send a covering letter along with a copy of your passport/driving licence and should they write back and ask for it to verified then do it. Ok this might add a week or two on to the application stage but it might save you £5.00If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -
Thanks guys.
I'm considering waiting til I get paid at the end of the month (just started a new job 2 wks ago) so I can take my most recent payslip, most recent bank statment and my passport to the branch. I've been temping for the oast 8 mths and don't wanna post an Adecco wageslip as proof of income!
I checked https://www.citibank.co.uk/personal/forms. so know these forms of ID are sufficicient to take into a branch.0 -
has anyone had to fill one of these forms....

Hi, I received my application last week and I was only asked for a cheque for a minimum of £1 and ONE utility bill to confirm my address. Is there a reason why everyone else has to post all sorts of different documents?0

Basically you only have to send a cheque from your account and a utility bill or some other proof for address verification. But if you dont have a cheque book like some of us people than you can send some other ids and a letter stating that you dont have a cheque book.<<If you liked what I said then feel free to click on the thanks button>>0 -

I was asked for the same, However as I did not have a cheque book I taken it upon myself to send additional Id. I had no problem opening the account. Oh I sent a letter advising that I did not have a cheque book and I said I have enclosed additional id.If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

OH & I successfully opened a Citibank account and got a 3 in 1 card with cheque book and guarantee card. I am thinking of maybe opening an account in just my name as a back up
How much would I need to put through it?
Thanks
PP
xx
To open the account you will need to send the standard £1.00 cheque, Then as far as I can see it's up to you how you use the account. I don't think there is any set amount how much you need to put in the account. If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0
