How far will you have to travel for your appointment? They are very prompt at returning ID - mine was back within a week ...
I'm in Reading, and am going to the Canary Wharf branch, so not farWe're going into London anyway, so not like it will take a special trip or anything!
As for ID, I'm going to take (for both my partner and me) passports, utility bills and bank statements, and we'll have our debit / credt cards too. Proof of ID, signature and address, hopefuly it's enough....
A couple other points, just to clarify:
I went through Quidco. Should I go ahead and open the sterling account, wait to get the money, *then* change to the access account, if I don't want to get charged the £10 / month?
Is there time to do this, considering the charges start at the beginning of April?
Will I have time to qualify for a 3 in 1 card also, before transferring to an access account, or would using the access account also get me a 3 in 1 card (providing the conduct is fine on my account etc.....)
Sorry for all the questions - I promise I have read the thread, I've just heard a couple different things, and want to try and make sure I have it right in my head! Drowned with information

Reading the citibank FAQs, I thought the following were helpful:
What if I do not want the Citibank Plus Account?
We have a range of accounts you can switch to at any time, including the Citibank Access Account, which has no monthly fee, and includes these benefits:
24/7 online and telephone banking
Citibank Alerting Service
Interest free overdraft up to £500
Cheque book on request
Alternatively, you may wish to consider the CitiGold Current Account - our exclusive personal banking service with additional lifestyle benefits, including a Relationship Manager and concierge service.
To switch accounts, simply click here and follow the links to the online account change form.
What happens to my account details if I decide to move to the Citibank Access Account?
Nothing - your card and PINs remain the same, your overdraft will not be affected, and your account numbers will not change. All of your Direct Debits and standing orders will continue to be paid from your account as they are today and you can continue to use CitiPhone Banking and Citibank Online using your existing security details.
Fingers crossed I can get an account

As far as I know, the first charge of £10 won't appear until the 1st May so you should have time ...
Not sure about the 3 in 1 ... I've read on this forum that some members have been advised they may be eligable for the 3 in 1 after 3 months good conduct .... I'm not sure if its available on the Access account ...:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

Hi All :hello:
I just wondered ... can the VISA debit card we get with this account be used in exactly the same places as a VISA credit card ... or is a VISA DELTA card?
Thanks, Tori:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

I'm not sure if it can be used where a credit card is, it is a delta and i think can be used anywhere that take debit cards0
