    Hey calm down,

When did you apply? Have you had any letters back?

I am very sure you will be fine, just await there letters and welcome back

I sent off my completed application on the 25th and got my id back on the 1st. - thats where i am at the mo!
  • I know it says 15 days but it usually isnt its about 5 days, so you got your ids back on the 1st which was thursday, so I'd say you should get your pins by wednesday at the latest. and I know where your coming from, I didn't think I'd get mine but sure enough I did. Have alittle more faith in yourself. it'll come don't worry.

  • its just a thought but does anyone really need a cheque book with guarantee card these days I got the 3 in 1 so ordered a cheque book but I doult very much that I will actually need it, it seems that lots are getting 2 in 1 and lots are getting 3 in 1, I dont think this reflects on credit, I think its that some ordered before a certain time limit, I got accepted at the beginning of january, probably before the person who dealt with my claim knew that there accounts were going to change. and could the change in these accounts reflect that an unusually large amount of people were going to take advantage of this offer and thats why they have suddenly changed it, so as to not lose out on so much money themselves. CW

Hmmm .. I was thinking about the guarantee card and its use in the future ... I notice a lot of high street shops have stopped taking cheques now ... so if we only use cheques for bill payments and the like it won't really matter so much...

I'm sure it will be ok ... It took them 4 working days to send my welcome pack after receiving ID so if you follow that rule of thumb .. you should hear something around 6th / 7th Feb.

  • I pay most of my bills with DD's and only 3 I dont is 3 mobile which I ring on the day and pay by card and the mastercard which I get a slip from and pay via a machine, so I dont see the need for a cheque, but arent they doing away with cheques anyway, they do seem abit pre-historic nowadays as they are so many different ways to pay in this new age.

Yeah I agree with you but some times you need the cheque e.g when applying for a driving licence you have to pay them through a cheque. You can also use a postal order but for that you will have to stand in the post office que and also pay an extra fee.

Yeah, I think cheques will become more obsolete ... maybe not completely but with the rise of internet banking and debit/credit cards the need to use a cheque will lessen.
