Recent CitiBank Applicant?

I sent all my stuff off last week, got a letter back staying account is been processed etc, etc. I sent a letter staying i did not have a cheque book and sent a copy of my passport. They now say when i called they cant verify me electronicly (Spelling) i am on the electrol register etcetc. I have been told i have open my account in person at a branch.

Hi, I applied for the account on the 20th, today's the 26th, haven't heard anything back yet! Everything is crossed, I will be sooo happy if I get this as I need it as a parachute account, I'm trying to claim back charges from Halifax, but if they close my account, I'll need this. Can't get an account anywhere else with a debit card.

That is the other job I have to do but I have to wait until my DDs have gone out first and then try and change them all including DDs and SOs on the same day

Hi all. Applied for this account online on 4/01. Recieved form to sign on 9/01, got i.d. back from Citibank on 17/01.

I have asked for all my DDs to be switched over and have had the list of originators to send back this morning. According to this my account is now open but when should I expect to get pin number, card etc?

Many thanks to everyone on this thread as I never expected in a million years to be accepted for this account as I only work part time and have 2 defaults. My salary has been going into my Halifax account for 9yrs and they point blank refuse to upgrade me to a full current account. Goodbye Visa Electron- cant wait!

You usually get the pin number about 2/3 days after welcome letter, then the card should arrive about 2/3 days after the pin number. Once they arrie you will then find that 4/5 days later you will get the paying book.

If you want a cheque book you will need to request one,

yes this is what I was waiting for as well. all I need to do now is stop all DD's in one bank and start them up again in the other.
