    Good morning everyone,

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE

Im excited today, a friend (one of the little ones dads) is starting my downstairs toilet today!!!! Will make everything so much easier, will prob take a few days, but should be done before xmas, so really happy about that!!!!
Ive got a busy morning, 2 mystery shops and a contact lens appointment, which im planning on doing whilst little one is at nursery. Hoping i will have time to do a little shopping as well, but might run out of time, but we will see.
Spent last night watching my children in the christmas procession up the high street whilst they turned on the xmas lights!!! It was horrible weather, poor children, all 4 schools were doing something, but our school was at the front, and DD was pushing the very first trolley!!!! We all got very wet, but they enjoyed it, so that was the main thing.
Right, need to go and make the packed lunches, and also sort out the cupboard that will be turned into the loo, still have some xmas stuff in it, which i need to pop upstairs.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Good morning everyone!

Chucking it down here & windy but it is really mild.

Mrs Mix - soon be over at the dentists then you'll have that wonderful feeling of knowing that you're done and dusted till next year. :)

Hope all those feeling under par get better soon. Feeling lot better myself today but the knees are aching again, typical.

Well, DS1 LOVES his new pc. He is so protective of it, I swear he has been waking on the hour all night just to check it's okay. I did the motherly thing and listened to him twittering on about it, repeating all its spec' for the hundredth time, but I was halfway through a great book and it's not what you want, is it? Feeling guilty, I went in to give it the proper once over, but as soon as I got within a foot of it he looked uncomfortable. When I reached out to feel the quality - like you do - he looked really edgy and jumped forward. Gezz can't remember being as careful with him when he was brand new.

Anyway, busy day today. Must load WM & BM, blitz my kitchen and then settle down to do some maths with DS2. Afternoon will be climbing the ironing pile.

    Have a lovely day.

  • WooooHooooooo:j :j :j ....Had a letter from Comet this morning stating that our washing machine was not econimical to repair-so we have to go to a local Comet store and buy a WM to the value of £350:D :D:D ...ooo...think we can do that!

Also, 2 weeks ago we took DD out for a meal at TGI's and they were quite rude and I had nowhere to put me wheels (wheelchair)..we left after about 2 mins and I complained. Have just received an apology letter and £40 of vouchers;)

Maybe today will be ok after all:rotfl:

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Queenie :bdaycake: I really hope you enjoy your day:)

This is my last os day before oh and I head off to sample the delights of Gatwick airport before heading off to New York tomorrow. I can't wait although I will miss my kiddies like mad as I have never been away from them before. My mum and Dad are turning up this afternoon to take over the house of gin. Although New York sounds v. indulgent, Martin posted a fab flight deal which we snapped up and the hotel has been subsidised by oh's old work (long story  ).

We have so much to do, I need to send more ebay parcels, clean the house (again!), wash the bedding, pop tp the shops. Wrap up and post nieces present to send to Oz and continue writing a huge list for my parents, all before 3pm.

I'll be back on monday feeling all christmassy.

Have a good week everyone :)

    Happy Birthday Queenie:bdaycake: :bdaycake:

Wow that's a BIG Cake - Queenie I do hope you like cake!!!

Just a quick thanks to all of you regulars on the O/S and Daily threads - I don't always have time to visit the site, let alone to post, but reading your posts really inspires me....Thank You!!

I'm through my first flylady week - [it feels weird seeing all this tidiness everywhere] -I've partially planned the dinners for the next 3 days [when I work very long shifts], and I still have a wee bit of time to catch up on my Christmas shopping. I'm beginning to feel proper old style!!

Have a great day everyone - it's great weather for ducks here in Leicester so I'm going to have fun drying my sheets and towels ...Ho Hum!!

Now I'm off to wash all the tiles in the bathroom - no I'm not THAT houseproud - we retiled and grouted the bathroom - finishing Sunday so this is merely the finishing touch -then I think I'll need a lie down.....definitely.

    Bye for now

  • Morning all :hello:

Happy Birthday Queenie :bdaycake: Have a great day

I'm not at the office today but will still be doing pretty much everything but the housework that is crying out to be done. It seems I'm the only member of the PTA who is actually prepared to do anything except turn up at meetings and spout ideas. So, I have to go into school today and get the books sorted out, get the banking counted and sorted then head into town to bank it. Oh well, it's my last year at the school but I have been doing this pretty much on my own for the last 9 years so I'm getting just a teensy bit fed up now. (sighhhhhhhhh) Sorry. Rant over.

Gingin XDH and I took DS and DD to New York back in April. If you love chocolatey things, try and get to Serendipity on East 60th Street (look up the website). Their speciality is Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and it is to die for!!! DS thought the place was the highlight of the trip. You may even spot a celeb or two there. Apparently Andy Warhol used to pay his bill by giving them little drawings. A wonderful wee place.

I made up a recipe for home made fajitas yesterday and DS said they were better than any of the shop-bought packs. :j So, today I think I will get all creative again and try and make some kind of casserole with chicken, rice and mushrooms.

I need to try and organise my living room to try and fit the Christmas tree in. Since last year, I have moved the pc into the living room and also a new dining table so space is at a premium now. Oh well, I love a challenge.

Hope Tuesday is good to you. X

  • Good morning all

    Queenie - Happy Birthday

Penny_Pincher - Lovely to have some good news for a change isn't it. Enjoy your vouchers and choosing your new WM.

I had a better day yesterday. I decided to break down my to do list into smaller tasks (baby steps, I know;) ) and achieved so much more. Its far less daunting than looking at a huge list of big tasks that make you feel like not even starting. Feel much better now and off to do more of the same today.

Have to go to work tonight. I only work 2 evenings a week but as my arthritis and back have been giving me such problems I have decided to cut down to one night a week soon and see if that helps. If not, I will have to think about giving up work. Won't be easy as I love my job but health comes first.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEENIE :bdaycake:

The weather is horrid here so I am staying indoors as much as possible. Lots of cleaning downstairs to be done and I have to empty the understairs cupboard to find the boxes of deccies from last year. They tend to get buried as the year goes by.

Cheerfulness I had to laugh at your son and his new 'baby'. :D
