Hi
I think you will find that the Asda coming to Gillingham Dorset will be a Homeware branch rather than a supermarket.0 -
Hi
I ordered a greenhouse from the Beverley branch, due to be delivered tomorrow!! Was told this morning that all orders have been cancelled and i couldnt get a refund. Where do i stand? I payed by visa debit card, will this ensure i get my money back or does it only apply to credit cards/0 -
I understand that this is only until the stores get permission from E&Y to continue as normal, which hopefully will be within the next 72 hours.

Evening folks, what a day.
Can I start by saying please understand none of this is the staff doing!! No one knew anything until I posted the now infamous post!!
We have had so many restrictions placed on us by E&Y that we are being made to look silly. Its us on the front line taking the flack. Obviously I cant answer everyones questions as I will get into alot of trouble if I got found out. Generally what you are all being told is true that we are unable to release any goods that are on a customer order (Just a note I dont understand why if its paid for but thats my opinion no one elses). Also we are unable to give refunds. If people want to PM me I will try to be as helpful as I can.Arise Sir Martin Lewis :money:, For services to the Great British public. I think you (and anyone using a VISA debit card) need to look at this:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases#debitcard (short extract below):
What are the Chargeback rules for debit cards?
While Section 75 doesn’t apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you paid on a Visa debit or electron card, or Visa credit card under £100 (otherwise go for Section 75). Known as Visa Chargeback, this is part of Visa’s internal rules and not a legal requirement. Here's an example of how useful it can be...
"I read about Visa Chargeback on your web site. I'd never heard of it and no one else I know has either.
I downloaded a letter to my bank and today received a full refund under the chargeback scheme in relation to the Globespan collapse. Everywhere else I looked I was told to 'forget it as I had lost my money'."0 -

The person on the phone never mentioned anything about any problems like this. So in the end he put the order through without taking payment and said he would call back the next day for payment and she has had an email from parcel force saying her order is dispatched and will be delivered today. But she hasnt had a phone call for payment. Do you think she will still receive it?
She received it the very next day but no payment was requested.0 -

With B&Q having confirmed they have bought 31 stores and the likes of The Range waiting in the wings, it looks like the company is going to be broken down and closed. (End of July for the B&Q purchased stores)
B&Q have said that staff aren't transferring but let's hope they all get jobs if they apply.0
